I have a flip5 and clip 3, now I sold my clip 3 and bought the tribit micro , much much better than clip , especially the Bass .( and cheaper too 😀)

Clip 4 sounds a lot better in real life. JBL apparently did a good job upgrading its Clip line of speakers.

well,in my country jbl clip 4 is 40 EUROS (which is crazy for 5 watts) and jbl flip 5 is 80 euros,sooo....flip 5 is better (my opinion)

The flip5 has definitely better sounding overall, especially the bass coz its has a lower frequency range. But the clip4 sounds cleaner for me, ideal speaker for small room and in the shower! Flip5 for larger room or even outdoors.

Ok, now it's time... Clip sounds more brighter on 60 % but only reason of this, is that (that) have more hights then flip, cost of this is less bass and mids but it giving u a feeling that's its almost as loud as flip, but in real the bigger brother has more "everthing" in overal, sound signature, bass, batery, party booster, options. On 100% volume u can feel that flip gets only trebble (hights) and some mids (the reason is that, in level from 80 to 100 you need more loudnes then sound[ don't take me wrong, it's good even then but over 80% it's nit the same]). Other thing is that, clip is better for small trips with a dog or something no feel power but none of you're neighbours will not call police or sth because of you, flip is better for bigger trips with friends, for longer time, it's steel easy to care but you can't for exaple *clip* it to you're backpack or trousers and don't care about holding it. So in this comment u can write what you woud choose and did my comment was helpfull for you. Good luck and marry christmas, say safe and calm.

The worst speaker of jbl lineup is the flip 5 because it doesnot provide anything , no thumpy bass no mid ranger just low bass .the speaker used in jbl flip 5 is too big and powerful for the flip body it sounds good in charge body . Just go for clip 4 you will enjoy listening to it , flip 5 have anoying sound because of their default eq .
