I have done some band gigs with these EON715's this Summer for indoor and outdoor private band shows. They really sound great, especially the definition in the low end, even when using subs. They are not that heavy, so I have them with poles on the subs, so I appreciate how easy it is to organize the cables behind them. Also they can easily be turned if the action changes from band to speeches near cakes. One of the big challenges is dealing with the LCD GUI Menu. At a gig, it won't be of much use because you won't be able to see it well after your speakers are positioned, so make changes in there before the gig, especially if you are both a performer and sound person at the gig. Although, the JBL Pro Connect app can make this easier, using it just before the gig can bring distractions because your fellow performers think you are just checking your email or something, and may take that as an opportunity to get you to help them with their sound. Also, the Blu-tooth connection it uses to your phone is easily interfered with because it operates on the same 2.4ghz frequency that many of your party's neighbors are using for their local WiFi. Speaking of Blu-tooth, so far, I haven't been able to figure out how to connect to both speakers in stereo with one iPad. Only one speaker. If anyone knows how, please reply. -Napy

La pantalla LCD era importantísimo, felicitaciones. La nueva aplicación se ve mucho mejor que la anterior. El diseño está precioso, mejora en los controles para referencia de 0 dB. Felicitaciones por jbl. Y descontinúen de inmediato la 600

I have 2 questions, and the concern comes from some other videos on past models of this lineup: 1. For streaming bluetooth audio, if two speakers are grouped through the app, will bluetooth stream over both speakers, or just one? 2. If streaming bluetooth through one of the top speakers, will the pass thru go down into the subwoofer when connected as well?

Why jbl don't make 15" sub for clientes who have 10" or 12" speakers? I have a pair of eon 612 and have to buy a db technologies 615 sub, because i dont have space in car to transport 18" sub and its too heavy. You guys should made 15" sub, think about it

What’s the difference between the 712 and the IRX12? For use as stage monitors.

Can someone PLEASE explain the different gain settings and how they relate to the master volume? I struggle to get good volume from my mixer. I'm using SM58 mics. What is the difference between the CH1/2 gain (and the sig/clip) and the gain within the menu and the Master Volume and the Limit light? Also, what does the light on the front mean when it goes from Green to Red?
@Leon-pearce9 ай бұрын
I cant get good volume from mine. The input is good volume as light is yellow, not red. But with master volume at 0 (highest) its not very loud. Can't turn it up any more
@Leon-pearce9 ай бұрын
Did you sort this?
@RandyBrodhead9 ай бұрын
@@Leon-pearce I emailed Harmon supoort and a great guy got back to me. These are his instructions: The EON700 speakers have 2 gain controls: The CH 1 & 2 gain knobs control line level gain. The LCD menu CH 1 & 2 gain settings control mic level gain. Gain adds preamp gain to the system to support microphone usage. EON700’s fader runs standard in LINE LEVEL, but accessing the GAIN menu can allow users to plug a microphone in directly. The SIG/CLIP LEDS above CH gain knobs 3 colors: Green = weak/normal signal Yellow - strong signal Red = channel clipping (CH gain needs to be reduced) Limit LED = Amplifier is reaching clip (speaker volume needs to be reduced) The Front LED will turn red with the limit light. So you can easily tell if the amp is clipping from front of speaker. First factory reset your EON700 speakers through the LCD menu. Press the Main/Menu button - select Settings - select Factory Reset and Confirm. The LEDs will flash and the speaker will reboot. Start by setting the line level gain to -20db and raise as needed. Leave the mic level gain at 0db for both channels. Set speaker volume to -10db Play music from mixer and control audio volume by adjusting the mixer output level. If more volume is needed from speakers, increase the speaker line level gain while keeping an eye on the sig/clip leds and limit led. Plug everything in, all inputs/outputs mixer/speaker. Then power on mixer and speakers. Then I would start setting the volume/gain in the following order: mixer channel gain mixer channel volume mixer master volume - set to zero. speaker channel gain Play some music from mixer and slowly raise the master volume on speakers. Leave the LCD menu CH 1 & 2 gain settings at zero. To set the EON712 speakers for sub connection: go into LCD menu and select Mix Out/Time Align. Verify Mix Out is ON (which is default). Then select Presets, set to Sub and push the main knob again to save change. “Sub” preset automatically configures the below settings for isolating low frequencies and only feeding them to Pass Thru XLR out for a subwoofer speaker. Selecting “Sub” automatically sets the internal amp/speaker feed to HPF (“high pass filter”) only signal at above 80Hz and the Pass Thru XLR output to only pass the mix signal below 80Hz.
