At Best Buy here in USA only teal and blue were GG. Black was TT. I got a grey GT from target and it sounds better to me than the GG. It’s also 10g heavier than GG. The funny thing is the Teal GG I got came with the latest firmware, but the GT came with 5.3.3 I think. GG Made in China and GT in Vietnam.

​@@true_artem GT is practically the GG but with better bass response and slightly louder than the GG. That's why people say that "GG is better" is because of the bass response and best overalls. While the TL (or TT) are louder and produce more low bass compared to the GG (or GT) they do lack that *Thump* on the bass on some songs, like this one in the video. So it really depends on what you get when purchasing one to be really honest 😕

​@AlexXDIpX7 ok, i do agree. I rechange my statement after 6 more months of testing. TL and TT have slightly lowers bass responses but they do lack a lot of upper and mid bass overall and have some degree of distortion, making it sound weaker than GT and GG.

IMO, GG and TL at the start of their serial numbers means they are manufactured by different production centers on the same spec provided by JBL. So, by chance, TL was "tested" by a YTuber claiming better than a GG Flip 5. As for Flip 6, this YTuber prefers the sound of GG serial number better. It could be just variation of a small samples from this review, and can be subjective. Even if you have in your hands a GG and a TL Flip 6, your comparison may be subjective to your own listening in a somewhat the same acoustic room (but not quite a scientific setup). That said, for a portable speaker of this price range, the sample variation is bound to happen. As for me, I just got a Flip 6 for my BDay, had no idea what GG and TL, until I watched some YT video and found mine a GG serial variant! 🙂

TL for better quality build 👍 it has plastic cone fully water prof and durability . Gg little bit bass and little mid, but outdoor u cannot hear it. Is important to tl deep bass is pleasant ,upperbass you can hear it and mid high, people saying the TL so Loud Volume than GG. For me TL more improved👍💪 and importane speaker is Plastic Cone. .

@@JBLdestroyer but it's not as durable as the plastic cone, and yes, everything with ip67 is also durable and I know that, but it's a cardboard cone, not like the charge 5 ND and flip5TL plastic cone. and it's high quality. And when it's submerged in water, I've tested it on my flip 5 and yes, it will take a long time, but if it doesn't damage the speaker, it's a low-class build. tnx😁👌

Unlike Plastic, it's not as beautiful, but that's what is done to make it stable and not break. flip6 TL we know it's louder than the GG, it also rumbles but it's not that strong, the bass of the GG is just a little bit louder, but the TL is louder and listened to outdoors, can you hear the deep bass when the midrange is outside? It's fine but the mid vocal is more clear and clean and high. GG-bassrange TL-Midrange the GG vs tribit storm blast TL is like a boombox 2, the midstage is strong and the sound is fresh

Guys I got a GG and TL myself. The GG sounds way better. The bass is more lower and more defined. the high frequencies extend higher and smoother. This is very important for audiophiles because the TL has a wild cutoff in its highs. The average Joe wont be able to discern though

For all with TL version use for EQ: Bass +2 Mid 0 Highs -1 For Volume over 75% use Highs -2.

Sou do Brasil. Comprei a Flip 6 e veio a versão TL, eu queria a versão GG como faco ? Vale a pena trocar a TL por uma GG ? Será se aqui no Brasil existe a versão GG????

But i think you wouldn't hear much of a difference. A Option for you, if you don't like it, would be to return it and buy one in store, where you can see the packaging or ask the seller to see if it's TL or GG.
