Ofcourse the bass is deeper in lfm but crank up the volume to max the sound is not enjoyable at all. Place it close to a wall then it will do a bit better thats it.

This isn't really a fair comparison, the xb12 has such bigger driver with a passive radiator on the bottom. The JBL squeezed that into 1 small spot. The xb12 does sound amazing for its size though.

XB12 > Go 2 XB22 < Flip 5 XB32 > Flip 5 XB32 < Charge 4 XB41 < Extreme 2 XB60 < Partybox 100 XB72 < Partybox 300 XB90 < Partybox 1000. Of course, XB90 and Partybox 1000 is not a fair comparison, but Sony doesn't offer anything bigger in it's XB lineup. I wrote SB 32 twice, because it's somewhere between the Flip 5 and the charge 4. I didn't write UE, 'cause all of these speakers are trash.

Hey dude, thanks glad it sounds good. It's just a small mic capsule I salvaged from a broken Anker speaker lol, I did some testing with a few ones I had laying around and this one sounded best to me. Plugged into an iPhone 5. I think you should achieve similar results with a cheap lavalier mic from Amazon.

JBL GO 2 wins here. The sony just isn't balanced correctly with bass and the sound quality. The bass just completely overpowers the high frequency sound in the sony. The JBL gets to the high frequency easy. The JBL is correctly balanced without the bass overpowering the high frequencies. The sony has too much bass overpowering the high frequencies and that leads to the actual sound quality sounding muffled. I think the JBL GO 2 takes the win.

This isn't really a fair comparison though. Due to the design of the xb12 (The speaker above and the passive radiator at the bottom.) Because of this design, the xb12 produces more vibration primarily aimed towards the table. It then uses the table as a resonance thing due to its design, thus producing more bass. The effect is similar to those vibration speakers where you can stick it to any surface and it uses that surface as a speaker. You could try to hang both of the speakers on the air for a more fair comparison. Thats just my opinion and suggestion.

Your right, the XB12 does benefit from surface resonance but you gotta keep in mind many users will place it like that, so it's actually a feature of the speaker which give it an advantage. But also it reaches a lot deeper in frequency without distortion. That being said, for normal songs (not bass boosted) the Go 2 will have a smoother sound overall in the mids and highs, so depends on what someone listens to the most.
