Ok so let me provide some feedback. I bought both, the JBLs and the Buds+. The Buds+ arrived today so I've only been able to use them for like 20 minutes or so and the JBLs I've had for 2 weeks but here it is: I seriously don't understand why people complain about JBL's lack of bass. The bass is louder on JBLs. Unfortunately the sounds is where the good stuff ends. Buds+ are smaller, lighter, the touch area is curved so you don't miss it so frequently, the ambient sound is WAY WAY WAY better on the Buds+, on the other hand the JBLs offer TalkThrough (unfortunately you can only set the gesture to one of them at a time) but basically what it does is it lowers the music volume and turns the Ambient Sound on. The Buds+ rubber bands and cups are smaller than JBL's and I had to swap for the largest option from the pack. Another thing I've noticed is that the Wear app works so much better with the Buds+ than the JBL app with the 300TWS. There is no delay with applying the settings, no random disconnecting or things just not working. I'm going to use the Buds+ for another week before deciding which ones to return. Beside that, I've got problem with the JBLs and the left earbud not registering tap+hold gesture. Google Assistant works with the right earbud but when switched in the app to the left one, it just doesn't work. I asked Harman support what the real difference between the two settings is but they didn't answer that question. I have occasional glitches (sometimes there is a pop and it sounds like 10-20ms delay between the buds - can be reset by stopping and then playing the music again. The other glitch is a high pitch shrill, probably related to bluetooth itself). Harman were very supportive and offered to exchange the earbuds as they think this is a "weird fault" but like I said, I'll wait another week and I'll update this message.
@TotallydubbedHD4 жыл бұрын
thanks for sharing - I didn't experience any issues; maybe try resetting them (even if they're new)
@Kris.G4 жыл бұрын
@@TotallydubbedHD I did reset them a few times. And that reminded me about another issue - choppy audio forcing me to reset the earbuds. Happened to me twice. I'm convinced it's just a faulty pair but I'll still hang on to the Buds+ for comparison.
@TotallydubbedHD4 жыл бұрын
@@Kris.G ah that's sad to hear :( Ironically the original Buds had widespread issues like that lol
@Kris.G4 жыл бұрын
Ok so here I am after a week of using the Buds. I prefer those. There are a few things JBL does better than Buds+. The swipe gesture is cool and better than the edge tapping on Buds+ to increase volume. JBLs fit better in your ears making you worry less about them falling out (not that the Galaxy buds ever fell out of my ears, it's just the feeling) and the overall sound. But the Galaxy Buds+ are smaller and more comfortable for MY EARS. With JBLs I had a little pain in my left ear after an hour of wearing them, with Buds+ no pain, no discomfort whatsoever. The experience with Buds+ is much more seamless and fluid. The app is way way better than the JBL's. The amount of customisation is more or less the same. Buds+ with Dynamic EQ settings sound just as good as JLBs. Really, I can't hear any difference. And a minor thing, but seemingly annoying for me - the case - Buds+ case compared to JBL's is tiny and light. You CANNOT make the JBL case stand and a) charge b) have the lid open. It has the charging port on the bottom and it will fall over when open. Also, during opening, often the lid warps inwards (it's not very sturdy), taking one of both earbuds with it. No such problem with Buds+ as the case is 100% sturdy.

3 years of having them and still going strong. The bass is really great, and they are super comfortable. I bought bose quietcomfort, tws, and Soundcore Liberty 4nc. Returned the bose as it was irritating for my ear, and liberty 4nc has good sound but no bass. Has like a hard bass, so returning them. Will stay with these for 1 more year. so um.. i didn't actually watch the video but i hope my input is relevant enough to add to the discussion so i'll just get to it- the jbl's have their ups and downs. as with many modern products, it's overloaded on features, some of which are impossible to disable and blahblbla- so i wouldn't recomend them or suggest them for everyone; but the sound. Finally got them after my Jaybird Vista’s case died because of water. The Jbl’s ok in their stock tuning and their Eq isn’t as good as it could’ve been as it works very strange with volume compensation and therefor are a pain in the ass to tune. When you turn up bass to the max, it distorts like crazy, on the Jaybird vista, its clean. On the Jaybird’s eq, i was really able to bring them to a decent level and since they started working again, i’m returning these. They are horrible when running with wind, you get some really annoying wind noise and the case is really large in the pocket (this is with ambient mode turned off). The ambient mode is nice and doesn’t hurt the ears unlike the Jabra Elite 65t. Still the Jaybird Vista blow these easily away. They’re smaller lighter, have a smaller case and a better sound. On the other end, its nice to see that they aren’t harsh in their stock tuning unlike the Jaybird vista which are very harsh in stock. With the Harman Target eq, the vista’s sound much better and are close to a flat and balanced sound and simply aren’t harsh at all.

Don't get a JBL. Even if u keep it in the case, the earbuds will slowly lose charge. U gotta open the case to recharge it. JBL is crap when it comes to battery life. Fit is horrible, volume swipe control don't work properly. App doesn't work well.

When you count sound quality/ comfort, and ignore bluetooth, which would you say is better? The bose soundsport or these? Im more concerned about comfort with decent sound than the best sound in the world and them falling out and hurting my ears. My ears tend to be sensetive and a little small.
