In my country, Sony XP700 and JBL PartyBox 110 have similar price tags (both 420$) while JBL PartyBox 310 costs 620$, PartyBox 710 costs around 850$ and Sony XV900 costs 820$, which one should I go for? I usually use speakers outdoors

I tried to buy the JBL Partybox 310 but everyone is sold out. So I settled on the Sony instead which is coming in a few says. Found a few people selling used JBLs but afraid to take a chance on a used one. Hope the Sony will satisfy me. If not I will return it.

@@joeyrossman7191 I returned it and got the JBL 710. Got tired of waiting for the 310. The Sony has a good sound but it doesn't really have the punchy bass like the JBL speakers. The JBL 710 is a beast!! The bass is crazy good! But it does cost nearly $300 more.

@@joeyrossman7191 If your not into super punchy bass the Sony will probably work ok. I used the the EQ built into the music app on my Mac to tweak the bass up on the Sony and it was not bad. But the JBL speakers have a punchier bass which I like. Totally depends on your taste.

In my country the sony is 125 dollars cheaper than the jbl so it is much closer to the price of the pb 110 which it demolishes😁

@@sumit55z You will get varying degrees of bass extension based on where the speaker is located. Indoors, outdoors, small room, large room, corner loaded, middle of room. etc. Lots of variables.

The 310 is the better speaker for overall bass output, more so at higher volume. Max volume they are both very similar.

Sound balance, clarity & separation are far better in Sony than that in Jbl. Jbl's sound signature is kind of jumbled & instrumental sounds are not separated enough. If both speakers are plugged in, the sound test will be justified as Sony tends to optimise its battery life rather than bass & overall loudness while being unplugged. Jbl is strong in case of bass only. But Jbl has 2 levels for bass boosting whereas Sony has megabass & sony music centre app for bass boosting. So, in maximum sections including price, Sony beats jbl easily. Jbl is only better than Sony for portability only. I hope Bass of Sony will equal if it's plugged in, megabass is turned on & bass is increased through Sony app.

With the Sony you cannot increase bass via the app EQ if mega bass is enabled. The J L now offers a 3 band EQ similar to what Sony offers. The 310 has a warmer sou d signature by default, but yiu can now adjust the mids and highs if you prefer a brighter sound. Hope this helps. 😉
