Hello! Just to double check, if for any reason I need a new microphone, the only solution is to purchase an original one from JBL? Nothing alternative would work? In other words, can I buy a generic Bluetooth mic and use it?

When the mic disconnected, was i far from the speaker? Since its bluetooth, I guess you can't go far before it falls out.

I actually just bought this. Here are the pros and cons PROS- - hands down the Sounds absolutely amazing both mic vocals and audio of the speakers - perfect for doing karaoke CONS- - Battery life only lasts almost 3hours full blast settings both mic and speakers. And the speakers adjusts its volume slightly as the battery life goes down. But you can fix this by plugging it in while using - The microphone is amazing but its overly sensitive even just by holding it it makes noise but you can actually fix this by buying a wireless mic protector to avoid this. Still a 10/10 product for its price

I don't think the encore has a mic input - the encore essential does.

You can't plug a microphone directly. You would need a mixing table and plug into the aux in, then you can do all you want, but you would need to find a way to power the mixing table, which is easy to do if you have one with an usb power option, an audio interface is also possible, but you won't be able to do any equing

I didn't do that way yet, but no need to, because the battery last long for all night 6hr or more...
