@@AudioAdvice ... got it ... cannot use it with my Yamaha YSP 2700. An idea ?
@ConZorableАй бұрын
To be clear, it does not have auto stop, at the end of the record it continues spinning. There is no true auto start or stop on this turntable. It is manual, outside of starting to spin once you have set the arm over the record.
@AudioAdviceАй бұрын
There is a button on the rear panel, if you press this, at the end of the record, the platter will stop spinning. We go over this in the video. Thanks for watching
@sansui7727 күн бұрын
So what you’re saying is we need to press the button on the rear panel everytime it gets to the end of the record to stop it, correct? What a pain

I'm thinking of getting the Fluance RT 83 with the Ortofon red OM 2 for around $350
I love the way this looks I grew up hearing about the jbl brand always new their speakers were good they also have a direct drive model I would like to see a review on, on the noise I never head of a TT making noise cause of the start switch ,usually its a micro switch or a lever what noise could it introduce and this maybe a little cheaper than those english brands you mentioned but as the platter was turning I did not see any platter wobble now thats what I like to see when you have those manual more expensive models that are supposed to be better and when I see the platter wobble I will not be happy about that this something to think about it looks better than an entry level type so I hope they do well JRo

To have Bluetooth means you convert analogue to digital and back again to analogue. This seems to be against everything records are supposed to be.
@AudioAdvice21 күн бұрын
That is true in the Bluetooth realm and we do point that out in the video. Thanks for watching

the on and off button at the back, is that convenient?
@AudioAdvice8 ай бұрын
It is really designed to just stay in the on position. Thanks for watching
@jaapvander37878 ай бұрын
@@AudioAdvice If the JBL is in an audio rack, it is not convenient. Especially in the dark or with a drinks party. A button on the front would be better!
@AudioAdvice8 ай бұрын
@@jaapvander3787 We actually think they had to do it for some country code reason. Most turntables do not have one, and you just select 33 or 45 just like on the front of the Spinner. In other words, they are always on, like this one is when the switch is on. We really did not understand the point of it except to meet some kind of code. It is fine to just leave it on and select 33 or 45 on the front like every other table.

Is it required to use a Bluetooth speaker to hear the audio? I just bought and put a record on but there’s no external volume control and no sound is coming out. Did I miss this?
@AudioAdvice8 ай бұрын
This turntable does not have a speaker built into it. You will need to connect to Bluetooth or use the RCA connections to connect to speakers. Chat or call our team at audioadvice.com and they can help you along the way if you need it!

The tonearm gymbal is a compromised engineering. That's for low budget entry level turntables. The horizontal axle of the gimbal should be angled perpendicular to the grove where the stylus is on.
@AudioAdvice9 ай бұрын
And what tonearm that you like is on a turntable in this price range?
@iomis20014 ай бұрын
$400 starter turntable? Is this a joke? Audio Technica has several bluetooth turntables and they are all under $400.
@AudioAdvice4 ай бұрын
That is true. While this isn't inexpensive, we believe it's a good deal for what you get and is worth the investment.
@HiraethEric4 ай бұрын
I would much rather start with a more expensive turntable because it has the capability and capacity to do more than most beginner tables. Sure Bluetooth is whatever and it’s cool if you’re into that, but when you compare the sound of this more pricey beginner table to an ACTUAL cheap table, they are not comparable in quality
@AudioAdvice4 ай бұрын
Agreed. If you have the budget or can wait to save up, you may be better off getting something more expensive to save yourself money in the long run!
@iomis20014 ай бұрын
@@AudioAdvice You can get a U Turn Orbit for $399, which is far and away a better table. This JBL has a cartridge you can get on any $60 player from Wal Mart.

The Spinner won't connect to the app via WiFi so you won't be able to connect that way. It should be able to connect to one Bluetooth device at a time.

I’m from 70’s and please don’t even think about comprare old jBL with these craps. There are many other turntables cost less than this and better quality. I know it’s a paid review and you guys doing your job but don’t mislead the beginners. Thanks.
@AudioAdvice9 ай бұрын
Yes, there are other turntables out there. However, the founder of Audio Advice personally reviewed this turntable himself as well. (He is a huge turntable geek and has been around them for a long long time 😉) He thoroughly enjoyed it and for all the features it offers, thinks it is a great starter option. A lot of beginners will enjoy the Bluetooth and quality build from JBL. However, like always, there are other options that may fit certain people better. Thanks for sharing!
