JBL Tune 120 TWS Bluetooth Earbuds Unboxing and Review

Hey guys!
I got these right before Christmas and had to share. As always, I'm not affiliated with the seller or manufacturer (obviously not affiliated with JBL). These are my honest opinions.
Final Grade: B-
These aren't terrible at all, but I feel like you could get something better from that price point. Personally I'd recommend you check out the Beben X8. They're the same price, but offer more.
Major letdowns:
Micro-USB
No waterproofing
No wireless charging
You can only use the right earbud by itself.
Case scratches really easily
Positives:
- Sound is amazing (nice bass)
- No lag
- No connection issues
- Very comfortable to wear
- Quick charging (2hrs for a full charge).
Overall, do I recommend them? Eh. If you only care about sound, these are great. I'm gonna be keeping them. Yet, they lack a lot of features and you gotta see if you're comfortable with.

They are great, I have them now 6 months, wearing them everyday in the gym and I am sweating like crazy. Sound is good, connection is good battery life is great..bought them 60Euros..would buy them again!

They're 50 bucks. They aren't bad for 50 bucks. If you want better and there are better....you need to pay more. You can't expect more from a pair of 50 dollar ear buds. I'm happy with them.

Hey there! I'm sorry you're having issues. First I'd suggest checking the port itself to make sure nothing is clogging it (it happens sometimes), next make sure nothing is on the cable itself and the contact points are clean (the gold parts), and finally, try using a different cable and charging brick. Unfortunately, if these don't work, you might have to call it in for warranty. The good news is they should have a 1 year warranty and - in my experience- they are pretty lenient. I hope this helps! When i tried to connnect there is 2 of tune 120 so when i connect both of them only the right side can be play. Need help, i use samsung A70 btw

That happens from time to time on my Note 10 as well, I think you need to unpair from your phone and re-connect.

I bought them and I regret my purchase. That do have a great sound yes, but they don’t stay in my ear they keep falling off from my ear. I have to push them in really good for them to stay and even tho I do that they still fall off my ear. Unfortunately thumbs down for this JBL 120.

The Better Gentlemen actually I’m looking to buy the Bose wireless earbuds. I bought the i20 TWS earbuds and the sound it’s pretty good and they don’t fall from my ear. But I’m planning to buy the Bose brand. I like my music clear and loud. What you think about those ?

Bose Soundsport are really good. They are pricey, but they're worth it. However, if you plan on spending that much consider the WF-1000XM3 if you like noise isolation.

It's true though. They are really good, especially for a premium brand at this price point. Yet, you can do better. I was asked to review another pair by Pasonomi to compare, and those are just as good for half the price (video to be uploaded soon). Don't get me wrong, I'd buy these over something like the Aukey T10 because I trust JBL as a brand. These sound amazing, but they're still missing a few key features that cheaper brands are offering (i.e. water resistance, ability to control volume on the headset, ability to use both independently).

In Saudi Arabia they selling it for 319 sar which is a pretty sweet deal for me but I guess it is better than my i7s tws so they are pretty great for me atleast and for me I kinda hate having only one of any earbud to go off while having the other doing nothing so I like it when both buds are on but this is all my opinion :^ but great video :) Edit: I got them and they are incredible. Tho sometimes it doesn't charge other than that they are indeed incredible

Loved the review.... Continuing my question...frm the aukey review... All the specs aside .. if u only had to compare the sound with the aukey t10... whch wud u recommend?!

I think they sound nearly identical. I did listen to both for a few hours side by side, and you have to really really focus on it. The Aukey has a little more bass, but the JBL is a little better with vocals. For my money, I'd say the JBL.

The Aukey's lag or the JBL? Using it on a phone and tablet I didn't have any issues (For reference, Galaxy Tab A and Note 10+).

Alright guys, so using this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5S9nWmshsRri9E The JBL is about half of a 10th of a second, while the Aukey's come in just a little later at a 10th of a second. Neither should bother you, unless you look at it. The results were about the same on my tablet, I'll try hooking these up to something else and trying it again. Soumyadipto, if the lag is comfortable, I think you should keep the Aukey T10. A little more expensive, but more features overall.

For $50 it's pretty decent, but not for the original price. When it comes to JBL products I always suggest waiting a little bit because they have steep price cuts.

Mic is decent. In my opinion better than the majority of "off brand" bluetooth earbuds, but people can tell you're on a Bluetooth.

Sorry, what type of signal? The Bluetooth signal or the phone signal? If its the Bluetooth, I think you should return it, it shouldn't be doing that.

Try to see if something is clogging the charging contacts, it sounds like it might not be charging properly. Because the right one is the main one, the left one won't be able to connect to your phone directly.

I bought it for music and call purpose, music quality was good and as expected, but call quality was frustrating, while being on the call the person on the other side could hear everything around me except me. I was not at all happy with the fitting as well it was totally uncomfortable! At the end just after a hour of use, i had to sell it for almost half a price, as for hygiene reason it is non returnable item.

So if You're comparing just the X8 vs the JBL, I'd personally pick the X8. It has better sound quality (imo), and is water resistant. However, with that said, JBL has way better support, so if something was to happen, you can count on JBL to help you out.

Airpods are different than Galaxy Buds. They are geared more towards convenience, the Buds are geared towards sound quality. Not saying the airpods sound bad, but imo the buds are better. For phone calls the airpods are still King, but the Buds+ are really good as well. Lastly it's a matter of preference. If you have iOS devices, you'll appreciate Airpods more, if you have Samsung/Windows devices you'll appreciate the Buds more. If you don't have either, consider something like the Sony or Pixel Buds as great alternatives.

So this is kinda where it gets a little tricky. I have used them for working out, and they stay in place really well. However, these don't have any water resistance rating so I don't know how they'd do with excessive amounts of sweat.
