Glad you finally solved all of the issues but this was a tough one to watch, especially how you connected the positive wire to the Kenwood amplifier and spun the amp around on the shelf before testing.

When you said you didn’t like how Fusion operated…do you mean the functionality of the unit or do you mean issues with how the company operates?

No comment on the company. I just don’t like the head units. I am a captain on 15 boats in my harbor and 12 of them have fusion and I don’t like it at all

Probably a lot safer and cleaner install if you use terminal ends on all your wires. I cringe seeing how you stuff the wires in to make the connections. Simple ring terminal ends crimped on. Smear idea using the battery cable for the 4ga

I did put ring connectors on before the final install. That shot of the bare wires stuffed in was only during the testing stage. Thanks

WOOW WHAT ARE YOU THINKING now you have a floating boom box in my day we carried them on a shoulder nothing more irritating than a boat on the water cranking out tunes congrats

Yes, but my tunes are inside my flybridge and reasonably sized speakers on the bow. It is definitely not loud outside my boat by design. I also hate the overpowering boats out there. I’m a very polite boater on the dock and the water.

You need a capacitor

I think I may add one in the future, but for now it is working.

With the right gauge wire and battery amperage he should not need a capacitor.
