True! 143dB peak vs 98dB peak Most 12 inch subwoofers are 98dB peak with around max 200w draw rated 82-90dB sensitivity per watt.. While most 18 inch woofers are 129+dB peak with around 1024w of draw.. rated 99dB sensitivity per watt..

​​​@@josealfredfernandesin reality it more is like (taking a 12" 89dB efficient Rockford R2D4-12) 113dB @ 1m distance @ 250W but thats in open air, in a corner or closer to a wall thats +3 to +6dB if corner placed most people are not gonna use 12" car audio/home subs to do a gig in open air add more room acoustics and that can go up to +10dB (from the initial 113dB), +20 in a car now at 10m distance that 113dB is only 93dB obviously but deep bass travels further than higher tones so it could be more also while some 18's can reach such levels at such low power, they are usually tuned to higher tones and wont do much under 40Hz and/or have some extremely large enclosure

Yes, for indoor room use.. most of us don't even need more than 92dB.. that's 129dB SPL continuous Subwoofer.. 😂In my region, we get cops called even for JBL Charge 5 with 92dB SPL.. also they came on news.. because it was confiscated and they didn't stop.. if you like music, please don't visit Indian apartments.. always go for resorts, beaches etc locations where you have a bit of isolation from society..
