Size of that CC Jelapeno pod is impressive! I'm growing 5 plants of CC Jelapenos but all of them produce much smaller pods. One advantage in my case - the plants are loaded with pods. Probably this is the reason why they are much smaller.

Yes I think that was just a single early fatty because the plant got a bit confused. Fingers crossed it starts producing now.

I love your polly tunnel it’s so tidy, and you have done a great job this year, us allotmenteers can beat ourselves up sometimes, but it hasn’t been a great year for growing has it? So just want to say well done 👍 😊

Between you and Tony, I am now regretting not growing Jalapenos this year. I haven't done for a couple of years because I thought they were a bit boring to grow with so many other exciting verities to try. But I need some in my life again, stuffed pickled and in jam. On the list for next year. And I have so many Champion pods on my two plants from your seed JB. And some of the pods are huge! I am willing them to ripen soon can't wait to try one! I don't think I am as brave as you nibbling on those hot ones. One of my Buena Mulata is turning red now I love these this year, they are so pretty the purple young pods and delicate leaves. Hope they taste as good as they look.

Well done dealing with the rogues JB, a plague on their houses. Polly tunnel looking splended, can't believe how much it's changed in only a couple of weeks! I've not got any toms ready yet, few just starting to turn tho. Yer mad with those chillies, I immediately wanted a glass of cold milk just watching lol, if you like the smokey flavour try BBQing some then making a pesto/ferment I do it with sweet peppers makes a huge taste difference, the ferment goes really well with the cheese I get from making LAB serum.

I'm growing an IBC tomato based on your review last year and I must say, it's the best-tasting mid-size salad tomato I've ever had. Mine is doing splendidly this year, a very prolific producer. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll be growing it every year from now on! My favorite cherry-type tomato is honeydew, which I discovered on Huw R's channel. So sweet and delicious, and another prolific producer!

Feels like all of those like LetPot, AeroGarden etc have a bit weird usage. Like you said, you can't really grow stuff rather large in them and then you have to take your chances that whatever you transplant to soil won't mind the move too much. And it is probably not like you'll grow that many plants in bigger hydro setups so you can transplant them there either. It is weird how you can ask for money to fix something you broke 🤔Or do they pretend like it was already broken and they "just want to fix it for you"? Either way, I agree. I wonder how people like that sleep at night... Regarding the love for digging stuff up in that raised bed. Can't you make like movable "fences" from some canes and some of that chicken wire? Just to make them not go dig in there. Or do you think they'd just jump over it? Holy crap the tomato plants in the tunnel 🤯The one up in the roof is probably taller than mine haha. Nice with a little chili tasting! LOL at the 5 second rule 🤣And nice little harvest you've got there! A little bit of everything 👍

Ok JB. I ended up pulling up my own free Spoon tomatoes. The plants were huge and shading out much better varieties. If I were to harvest the Spoons, I'd spend hours picking them and then pulling off the green tops only to end up with a few tasteless teeny-tiny toms. Onto the habitat pile they went for the wildlife to enjoy! Mexico Midgets (not free) were another miss this year, making less tasty cherry toms. Every season in the garden, live and learn! Sorry about the roofing scam!
@JBNat4 ай бұрын
Ahh thanks Mike. Yes the spoon has gone absolutely wild and I'm not too keen on the flavour either. Really tough skins on the few I tried this evening too so if they stay like that I will be following your example!

Really enjoyable video JB. So glad you caught out the scammers. I was sat on the edge of my seat when you were trying the chilli pods and your tolerance is definately higher than mine. Going to try making some Jalapeno sauce in the next couple of days and my first attempt at Jalapeno poppers. I have a lot of chillis ripening at the moment and I'm going to have to tread warily after the labelling fiasco with the ink that basically turned invisible as I have several superhots amongst my mostly milder ones!

Careful with those spontaneous tasters at the allotment chuck. Just wondering…Where can I buy the champion for next year? Ihad a small harvest of chillis 2 days ago. I have one called UFO and also Orion, black knight and hot lemon to try. Also glad you are enjoying some time to relax at the allotment.

Can I ask how you keep the aphids and other bugs away from your chillies? I have a small greenhouse with tomatoes and chillies split by the path. The tomatoes have done amazingly, but the chillies have been a disaster and I’m pretty sure aphids are the culprit.
