Hello Joanne so lovely seeing you in your beautiful conservatory. We like a lot of the same things because I see tons of you tubes art videos in watercolor an invariably I will be drawn immediately to certain ones and I look at the name and it is always your beautiful painting tutorial. I love whatever you paint whether with Brusho, or pen and ink or watercolor. I am always inspired and have learned to enjoy painting and have fun and stop being so critical of myself if it is not a perfect painting. I am still learning. You are my favorite teacher forever and I would love to sign up for your Patreon class but I just am not able at this time because of financial reasons. In Colorado and America in general most folks work all their life's and pay a small amount of each paycheck for their retirement years. It's called Social Security and we get a very tiny raise every year in January. I will sign up with you then because of this raise. Yeah. I am 70 now and very retired and love to paint with my identical twin sister Kay several times a week. I paint every day too. We both love your tutorials and appreciate you taking your valuable time sharing with artists. May God bless you.

A really delightful painting, I loved watching you do it. I too find that a sharp blade is a great tool for catching highlights and can add a sparkle where necessary. You ask what we would like to learn to paint next, if you have the time and inclination I would love you to do a country church with its churchyard.....it would be a nice ending to the summer - although churches in snow are lovely too !

Why not trace a subject? Good drawing skills are important so it is wise to practice but if you just want to paint and splash around without the stress of drawing then go ahead and trace ❤

That is such a beautiful Turquoise. Im guessing its impossible to mix? Its ridiculously expensive (in Australia), +/-$36 for an 8ml tube!! And the W & N Cotman range doesn't seem to have it. Are you using W & N? And are you able to recommend a slightly more affordable brand that I could get similar results? I tried mixing a W & N Cotman Ultramarine Blue and Viridian Hue, but the result is not very 'punchy', like yours.

Hi Adrienna yes I do find that watercolour paints are ridiculously expensive but have found that the more expensive brands are better than the cheaper option as you will use less in the long run as they are made to a higher standard. . I am using Daniel Smith colbalt Turquose

Sorry Richard I wonder if you have the sound set to low as this has not been mentioned yet, unless everyone is being polite!!!
