Stan is 100% correct about the background for "I'll Meet You" on this latest album. The signature Canton Spiritual background sound is a muted/whispered robust harmony emphasizing the lower register. The last Canton Spiritual album to have that sound on it completely was "Walking By Faith" from 2001. Fans were hungry for that classic sound. They won Quartet of the Year and Traditional/Group Duo of the year at the Stellar Awards with that project.

Quartet will never get old Harvey is one of the legends of singing the gospel, some people gonna like it some gonna dislike it and some people gonna think if you're laughing and having fun that you're not ministering like you should but I'm glad people can't determine if you go to heaven or hell just keep doing what you do Harvey and continue to inspire others around you....

I became a fan (#1fan) after being exposed to Wallace Strickland. I started in southern soul blues and church at 4 and gospel quartet music at 9. Quit quartet at 10. Didn't like the simplicity of the chord progressions. It was more boring than southern soul blues. I was DONE with that boring grave yard shit! Then i heard Wallace Strickland with those huge two handed POWER chords and unpredictable progressions and passing chords. It was ON! I fell in love with the entire group! From 11 till now, im all quartet. My upcoming album is southern soul but its all quartet baked underneath. I had a choice between the Korg Triton and the Roland Xp-80. Mfs would see me walking in with with Roland XP-80 (because that's What Wallace played) and say "Here comes lil Wallace" lol i STOLE EVERY chord that man had. One chord after set up And they knew "lil Wallace" was in the building. I think it was that A bank sound patch# 25 or 26.. Whatever it was. I used the same patches as he did also lol.. And this was BEFORE KZbin. Nobody locked in like those cantons. Drive? Locked! And LOOPED! I use to get rid of drummers for rolling in a drive. Bc that ain't Legal lol. Who is Quartet..? if i ain't Quartet BABY!?? PRIME Time. My favorite group of all time.. The Canton Spirituals.BIG SOUND!! These mfs were DIFFERENT!
