This choreography was very before its time. I remember the first time I watched this, back in 2011, I wasn't a fan of the choreography because I didn't think it was very conventional. It was very different from what I had seen before, and I was not used to it. Contemporary and movements of the body that could be considered strange are much more normalized now. Watching this solo again, during 2017, I absolutely love it. Fantastic choreography. Her emotion is so raw and authentic.

1:39 kills me, it's only 3 pirouettes but it's downright the best turn sequence i've seen all over youtube, dance moms, sytycd, you name it. i wanna learn to do that!

to do it that well you need to practice spotting and you need to come up fast but turn gracefully.

i'm alright with the turns, but i just don't understand how dancers can stop their turns like that. like many great turners, they seem to be able to stop turning "on command".

The movements stayed with me, but I forgot the words of the song, the title of the video, name of the dancer. I just found it again today almost ten years later, and it's just as amazing as I remember it ❤

You're not doing a very good job of supporting this dancer. Do not compare her to M.Z! This girl is a beautiful dancer *on her own*.
