How Did The Mandatory Ammo Change & Hit Scan Mechanic Removal Affect Crossout???

Last Night I Played some more and I did find a few weapons that were negatively affected by these new changes. The weapons I want to try next are the adapters, the corvos and the spectres to see if they feel any worse. if you read the notes, i think they said shotguns are still hitscan cause the range is so short lol. honestly, it be nice to have more realistic shotguns that damage further but maybe have more drop off and a lot more recoil and heating, even though I hate shotguns lol. they also need to make the scorps not just vanish out of thin air. btw what is with that bug when aiming up the guns stop aligning, it really bugs me as I cant aim as accurate at long ranges

It turns out that given the context of the update, not applying the speed mechanic to all weapons including lasers (just use the maximum speed of the game's graphics engine projects) and drones was inconsistent. But if the company's decision is for fun, this harmed foreign users who suffer from ping.

jb, u should try out imps, thier accuracy is much better then how it used to be, there is also a small visual bug with the bullet tracers, like im firing forward and then after X amount of shots a random bullets shoots out the back of the gun. not the end of the world but just a lil wierd. also... ur streaming this weekend jb?

one thing thats noticable is the nothung machine guns inability to shoot vertically downward. it makes builds with them placed horizontally and high up on a build unusable.

Sure bothers me. I was aiming a stationary guy as my friend was also dumping into him and be both got like 1200 damage each when normally, a quad arbiter teaming up with a buddy who has the aurora and a triple arbiter build would be getting 4k for a full over heat. So yeah... Very weird to see this all the sudden.

I turned my numbers back on and noticed why I went from MVP 90% of the time with my quad arbiter build to second from last 4 games in a row....

The funny thing is that most of the time, bots are harder to beat than live players. I have found myself getting rushed and defeated by bots with relics, then watching a live teammate play worse than a bot. Like run around the map with no weapon and 4 enemies, even at 14k+

As an Australian normally dealing with 270+ ping, the miniguns were almost my last resort weapon when there was no fun to be had with most other weapons (I'm still having fun with my incinerator heli). Now, the miniguns are a dead loss. It's not just that you have to lead your shots - the actual spot you need to shoot at to do damage becomes uncertain for some reason. You end up trying to chase the sweet spot for damage and doing nothing productive overall.

I started playing crossout during beta testing.... i honestly see no point in continuing with the game..... I supported the game, but not as a pay to win wus but as an honest play to earn to build player. But unfortunately the game has turned into a complete waste. I can no longer justify supporting Crossout in any manner..... the devs lost focus years ago and now it is only catered to the pay to win. ITS JUST NOT WORTH IT!

this update isnt actually too bad, mgs finally require some skill now, and are better if you can aim. the ammo changes are fine imo, make a hole in your frames or replace other things with some blue boxes. not too big of a deal.

I actually like the changes. the prevalence of MG builds will go down. the skilled MG players wills still strip weapons, like yo, Nightfall is still gonna shoot ya guns off. it's not a difficult task to lead your target... many of us are already doing it. Don't expect results if your not adjusting. You can always just swich to drones and continue being mid. We have the Chads out here working for their cannon shots. I've been stripping weapons with reapers all year. actually this is great for a reaper main. It's harder to hit my guns and I can aim for ammo boxes with my pen. the Miller nerf just got nullified. and you might have to install an ammo box... but you have alot more ammo boxes to aim for too. All trajectory users can celebrate! great day for crossout.

Something did change about the machineguns... I always used a 9K Prometheus build for Normal and Hard Raids. It has always been super strong and could resist a lot (Freight Train Plow). But today, in a raid for Plastic against the Nomads, that super durable plow only lasted for a very short amount of time. When my cabin was exposed, I could see my durability drop in seconds. This was against bots using Vectors/Sinus-O. Serious wtf-moment there! :\

Haven't noticed much change in PVP tbh, the hitscan doesn't take that much getting used to and I've yet to be short of ammo, even without extra boxes. Raids are a complete PITA now though, the ammo drops seem a lot worse using mg's and ac's. Spent half the last 2 frontier defences looking for ammo. Went back to threshers and no problem, every other enemy seemed to have some.

The destructors' nerf turned out to be a buff. Same overall dmg, if you hit the perk, more than before if you missed the perk. They are now at 1400 coin because people are dumping them without realizing this. Get a few while you can.

Ammo seems effecient by MGs and ACs so i havent had to rebuild them. Havnt used any shotties yet though. MG seems to have better range and are slightly weaker. But whats really annoying are the bots. They are so op now. Especially canons and rockets. They already had perfect aim but the damage/firing buff makes them hard to handle. Win or lose now is a matter of what kind of bots you have on your team and that is a dealbreaker imo It will take a while though to play every ride so its hard to weigh in on every change. But bots need a nerf and hard raids have become hard work

For me it’s mostly the ammo count on machine guns. I liked firing like an overexcited warboy out of Mad Max, straight into the air at the start of the round and sometimes in for just morale for my team 🎉, and otherwise literally do not own a single ammo box. Sucks I have to grind for one now with the limited time I have to play.

@@baron7562 I never thought of that. The Raijjen, or however you spell it, was the only cannon that actually felt like it did cannon things. Like, none of them before were able to preform for me at 10k plus and I had 2x fat man builds, 2x 88mm, 2x hulk and I just could not do good with them, never MVP and most of the time I lost. The Raijjen though, that thing could compete and now I can stack the damage multiplier and still hardly break 500 in damage :( how the hell am I supposed to do these cannon challenges when they turn every one into a huge POS? Lol.

Ammo isnt that bad. In fact some weapons you dont even need a crate to put on the build example being some shotgun builds like parsers and prob arothrons or the reload tree overall atleast imo since they get 30 ammo by default in the mag(i hope they dont change that) Now a bit of an issue is no hitscan for certain weapons they suffer from it. Example being parsers and arothrons, arothrons dont suffer from being projectile in fact white the opposite bc of their perk, meanwhile parsers on the other hand do suffer quite a bit ngl(ive had to set my aim assist to enhanced which is funny lol) tho this could be bc i don’t understand projectiles since i havent really played cannon builds as often tho i did use yokai for a certain amount of time. But tbh a fair compensation by adding like the 2 lines on the side to show a bit of where your aiming would prob be helpful. Now im not sure about the lagging issue with projectiles but that does seem like bad thing bc your shot could be delayed to a point where it doesn’t even HIT the target. Overall this update isnt bad but getting used to it is gonna be somewhat of a pain in the ass for certain weapons

It would make more sense if they needed batteries. But the concept is the same. You could only fire until your power supply was depleted. How is using ammo for mgs a bad thing? You can’t just fire a gun in real life without ammo. I think people who use mgs have been spoiled for too long. As a cannon user we have always needed ammo. Now mgs are more balanced. You can craft blue ammo packs really easy and fuse them for better efficiency. Two fused blues are better the one fused purple and easier to hide

Honestly the ammo is manageable, just simple tweaks on some builds are needed, soo not a big fuss. Folks are overreacting in General, and the buffs feel just about right. For me personally its a good balancing update.

I'm sure you can still use them for range, but the whole point of my build was for close range combat.. Long range imps are not durable enough.. 1 good shot with canon or scorps then you'll lose half your weapons.. Anyways, maybe I'm complaining to much but I'm really sad with the devs radical decisions.. They could have made like a 10% change or something.. Not 100% changes, it's stupid working so long and hard for something and then it becomes basically useless.. I know they made a mistake to buff aubitors, now they hiding the mistake by nerfing all of the machine guns, only viable close range option now is fire dogs

I play Crossout at 300ping, and I feel the hit scan change is terrible. this is a pure discrimination to players with high ping. Unexpectedly, I think shotgun feels the worst because you usually use it in fast builds. I cannot hit anything moving fast with it now, I have to aim an entire car in front to actually hit it. but as car are always changing direction, this mean I will never hit anything that changes it direction. I am only left with using drones or quitting the game entirely. Btw, the ammo change is welcomed as it can help weaken the players who continuously killing the entire enemy team.

Hitscan means there's no projectile travel time. The bullet hits the target at the same time you shoot it. Makes it very easy to hit precise targets at any range.

dude, try dusk with pyres. My car goes 120 kmh and sure with some difficulty, but i can catch my own rockets and ram them. Yes, i can win a drag race against a rocket. The update made it seem that pyres with dusk wouldnt change at all, just damage buff from 20% to 25% but oh no. The rockets are horrible. Their lock on range is still the 100m, but turning speed is absolutely horrible, their speed is horrible and their accuracy is horrible. its literally better to use a regular cabin than dusk for rockets. By horrible accuracy i mean, the rockets got like 30% chance to either hit the ground or to fly over the rusted truck in garage. Flat ground, 100m distance, no turning from pyres requiered. Pyres with dusk can only be used on somewhat even ground or if you have high ground, enemy is driving dirrectly at your pyres, so they dont need to steer. If enemy drives left to right, the pyres will miss due to poor turning and slow speed. i can literally outrun pyres so on a flat area i cant get damaged by a dusk pyre build, because im faster than a rocket without using boosters.

I got traction upgraded landing wheels, dusk with 200m radar and speed, cheetah for speed, 4 pyres for 5% damage and 15% turning speed, its 5k PS vehicle with no armor meaning while it says max speed is 120, it usually goes 122 kmh. the vehicle name in workshop is "Armored but ugly", made to resemble a cop car.

Honestly, after 7 years of playing Crossout, finally a decent update. It's ridiculous to have ammo for energy weapons, yes. For a player who lives in Brazil and plays with a ping between 140 in NA and 250 in EU, it is more difficult to play with machine guns. But I'm happy because I didn't know how ridiculous HITSCAN was, now in addition to players being forced to learn how to aim, they are also forced to know how to position themselves so as not to fall behind the BOTS. HAHA. It's about time the casual player was penalized for not being dedicated, after all, those who make the effort to play and learn the game's mechanics always adapt, and the casual player becomes a free kill as it should be!

it is a bad change, i had to delete 90% of my builds. It's very noticeable to some weapons... I ran out of ammo probably 10 games so i decided to delete em. Ammo is fine.... The problem is ps and weight by adding ammo... And ofc the explosion I just hate building, takes quite awhile. And i just don't have slots free. Now i do lol.... I guess we have to use weaker frames now? I don't see a point re building Mechs now so i probably won't play that mode. It isn't as bad as expected but still bad. We get nothing from the update except all our builds useless. I have too much time invested to quit tho. For Christmas the devs hopefully will let us get things we cant craft. I need an Aquilo.

Why does the spark and the flash need ammo? They are tesla coils, they produce their own electricity. What ammo is there to load. It's B.S. Just waiting for the cry baby, Snowflake 🐈's to complain that the melee weapons need ammo. What exactly would the ammo be? This game has been going slowly down hill for awhile. Also how about giving us some why to communicate with xbox (P.S) players, and actually be able to join groups with them.

I noticed that the ammo count is different depending on whether you play patrol or against other players.
