I was able to buy his Expository Thoughts on the Gospels during the winter sale as well! Great stuff! I have read all of Ryle’s work (except the Thoughts which I’m working on now). FANTASTIC stuff!! He is my theological hero 😄. The only weird thing about the large set with all of the volumes in it, is that it is missing one that I absolutely love; Light From Old Times. This is a must read, and I strongly suggest it. I’m not sure why they left it out.

I got the commentary set last year. Eventually the other set will join the group:) I absolutely love Ryle. Holiness is one of my top recommended books on the subject (it hade a deeper impact on me than RC Sproul’s book if that says anything)!

Awesome! Im excited to dive in, I too loved RC Sproul's book Holiness of God. It was a actually the first book i've read on the subject so that's exciting to hear this one can be more fruitful

@@chasinggod9773 They really cover two sides of the same coin. Sproul focuses more on what it means for God to be holy while Ryle delves into how we should live in light of that.

Very cool sets, Chase! Definitely a good idea to get them on a discount. I heard that Ryle includes other less known commentary’s from the past in (I think) the John volume(s?) is that true?

I didn't catch that before buying. I just read the preface on his John set, and it looks like he references and researched every St. John commentary he could get his hands on before making this set. Very excited to dive in
