What a wild ride this was. Hindi, as any other language that uses a different script, was one of the most challenging languages I've done until this point. The Devanagari (Hindi script) had a lot going on at the same time, and it was somewhat confusing for me. Nevertheless, it was quite a fun language, since I enjoy the "puzzle game" vibe of figuring things out without any context.

@@jccbm no i am not kiddin our hindi teacher was very strict and if we made any mistake in our essay we had to write it all over again and plus writing hindi letters is a pain in exams

@@Crochetqueennn But before that Duolingo should fix the pronunciation of Hindi letters especially the D sounds with nukta ( The dot below the letter ) and the nasal N ( T varg last letter ) should be added

the onlt big difference between hindi and urdu is the writing system: devnagri and perso-arabic script. the rest is virtually the same

punjabi had a writing script that looks a little bit like hindi script, but different. the words/sentences are 50% the same and 50% different (with a lot of words having a hindi base)

Hinestly i have problem with learning the writing system through duolingo because of the terrible romanization that hindi has. Like why romanize [i] (high front unrounded vowel) as /ī/ and [ɪ] (near-high near-front unrounded vowel) as /i/? Makes absolutely no sense. Also the audio quality makes it barely possible to differentiate between many sounds, like between qll voiced stops, aspirated vs unaspirated postalveolar affricates, and voiced vs voiceless postalveolar affricates.

Just noticed while checking out Hindi that all characters here use a masculine gender! Sure they are free to make their pronoun picks, but maybe this should not be the only language reference when you're not simply into speedruns...

Hindi is like arabic? Bro it's literally english Man -Manusya Hand-Haat No-Nahi Name-Naam and many more, almost all.
