You made me purchase enclave last year. No regrets because for me it’s a masterpiece! Very uplifting because of the mint. It gives peppermint patties vibe ( a mix of chocolate nuisances and mint)
@BlessedDelight12 ай бұрын
I own a decant of enclave, at first test I wasn’t a fan of it. It does remind me of 40 Knots to an extent but not fully. I let the decant sit for a few months, wore it one day and now I really enjoy it. It’s really grown on me! Evolves throughout the day.

Sampled Kashmir at ZGO in SF about two weeks ago, and find my dipping back in there to sample again last week... it was that memorable and intriguing for me. Citrus and rose, but some pine-like/juniper keeping it from getting too heavy on the florals. Musky and woody base, a bit of creaminess in the wood (sandalwood?) on the base. Gorgeous. I already own the immediate prior release in that family, Damask (gorgeous floral, which is saying something as I am not a florals person but fell in love and bought it), and now I'm sooo tempted to get Kashmir.

Ormonde Jayne is all about elegance. Tried a lot of them and there's something unique about Ormonde. Just ordered Kashmir without sampling which I don't do 90% of the time. It was awesome good price but we'll see. Montabacco intensivo is one of my signatures.

I've owned Aoud Lemon Mint for years as I bought it off the hype. The more I mature in my fragrance journey, the more I appreciate that fragrance which is interesting because it's usually the opposite for me with fragrances I bought from that era (my fragrance hype beast era lol). Enclave is definitely in the highest tier of my collection. A tier of fragrances where I really feel I'm wearing art. Another one for me that you can pull off in every season in my opinion is 40 knots from Xerjoff. 2 fragrances I found from your videos that really reside with me. Nice video Justin!

Yes ! you cannot go wrong with fougère as a versatile all year round scent, Sartorial is my go to, but I recently tried 2 fragrances that deserve more attention 👑 : 1. Sandalo by Acqua di Parma ( it reminded me of TF Fougère d'Argent but more creamy / leathery and spicy with the lavender / cardamom/ sandalwood combo) 2. Boy by Chanel (an excellent lavender modern unisex fougère, leaning masculine)

Hey Justin, probably for more than 2 years I’ve been watching your videos and enjoying them a lot (well, not my bank account tbh). I’ve always got the feeling the perfumes are repeating themselves, what isn’t bad or anything else, but I would like to see more variety in brands and anything else. I don’t want this to sound like a hate-type-comment but more like a idea for a new video series that would probably be very interesting for a lot of us. You once uploaded a video where you’ve tested the newest releases of some brands and I liked that video a lot so I thought it would be a great idea if you start a series about fragrance recommendations from the comments. Sort of picking out 5-10 recommendations and get them as decant or bottle and give them a live reaction and maybe enlarge out and your fragrance-Horizont! Big love from Germany keep clocking with them videos, you’re an example for the KZbin slogan “broadcast yourself“ and a huge influence for my perfume collection! Thanks for reading you’re the best and everyone else, you’re awesome to for reading!

I think the best thing about seasonless fragrances is their strong identity. It’s NOT a lot of things but itself. If it is a designer scent, it will be a classic. If it is a niche scent, it will have a singular balance and structure. Thank you for your suggestions.

Aoud Lemon Mint is one of my absolute favorites. It's an equivalent of a linguistic oxymoron, conflicts of ideas in one sentence, except this one works beautifully. Scents are amazing, they're like music harmonics, or color schemes, except scent is fleeting and plays with our memory more.

How does the extrait of fougere royale compare to the parfum? I'm considering getting the extrait but its not at discounters and is $600 so I'd love to hear some opinions before shelling out for it. Love the parfum

@bluered3228 Fougere Royale is in my top 5 favourites of all time, consequently I am lucky enough to have both in my collection. I aquired the extrait as a tester bottle so didn't receive the full presentation box...Imho I dont believe the full RRP of $600 for the extrait is worth the investment... for my nose the scent profile of the extrait is exactly the same as the edp, however the extrait is deeper and richer, it does last longer on the skin but doesn't project as well as the edp....please don't misunderstand my opinion, the extrait is a gorgeous fragrance, hope this helps

Aight, y'all, writing this comment before I've even watched the damn video, and how much you wanna bet DIS MUHFUGGA done left out the GOAT of niche frags for like the 1000th time??? I'll report back after I watch it, just to confirm my suspicions. Standby... UPDATE (17 mins later): Just like I thought, JC and his humble ass and his SELECTIVE MEMORY has decided to leave out, what is easily the GREATEST NICHE FRAG OF ALL TIME, Georgie Zaharoff 2nd Soul, from yet another "best of" video (and yes, it can easily be worn year-round, so that isn't a reason to keep it out of this vid, either). What a coincidence... And, yeah, he'll probably jump in and say "c'mon, Beane, it's not available anymore because it's discontinued, ease up, my guy!". And to that, I say, in my best Arnold impersonation,... BOOLSHEET!!!! Y'all just KNOW ol' George Z is sitting on a thousand unopened bottles MINIMUM in his basement, right alongside his formulations of "Seraphim Pink" (summer 2025 release), "Some Day... Prive" (2030 release or something), and the inevitable "Signature Leather Tabac Elixir" (so strong it's the final boss of Elixirs and has to be shipped on dry ice). So, JC, hows about you call up your best buddy George and tell him to RELEASE THE DAMN KRAKEN ALREADY?!?!???! ... I mean, um, *cough, cough* hey Justin, great content, as always, thanks man!
