Just got a Mini & working on Mini Enclosed Deployment System So you you just Flip a switch & connect. Love your channel. Keep up the Great work!! Also. Please do a seperate Lan video on hookup/use/etc to provide different routers for different age groups/uses. Many Many Many would benefit from that. 73 W4EPS

I really appreciate these videos and you provide the perfect blend of technical and non-technical information (background)… I found using a third party mesh router (Amplifi) that putting the starlink router into “Bypass” mode helps improve my speeds quite a bit. I think there was some conflicts/collisions happening between the routers. Measurably better using Bypass mode

Thanks a lot for your video! I got a lot of useful information, as I never interested about debug mode before. My Starlink was "landed in the Mars" immediately when I found that option :) . I did many steps parallel in app following your video and found out, that even we have here quite heavy snow in Estonia, Pärnu right now, it's works well. Visibility is not good at all. The national broadcaster urged people not to drive without a reason and to stay at home. Starlink dish work in automatic heat mode and is heating right now. 99,95% ping success, latency 29ms last 15 minutes, Power draw is 72W within heating mode, 22 devices and 2 mesh nodes at home right now. I have motorized, self adjusting, ver. 2 in use more than 2 years for now. And ... what can I say?! It works. You just gave to me with your video, more reasons to keep it in use and check a lot of more available data from Starlink app, if I have or wish to do it. Anyway, as I'm fan of SpaceX developments also, I feel good to pay for internet service to Elon Musk company and support with that a little his teams activities, than local telecom's.

Once enough of the soon-to-be-launcehd (fingers crossed) v3 (I'm guessing that's what the full-sized satellites will be called), start appearing over the part of Alaska where I find myself these days, I will migrate to Starlink for my Interwebs needs. Great video, thank you for the effort you put into these videos.

I live in East TX and rarely snows here, but like you I leave the heater in automatic mode. I was surprised to see it come on last week during during some severe weather when we got a little hail. I am not sure that it was really needed, but the dish surface must have got pretty cold. Also, I happened to see you when you guested on HamRadio2.0 - great show!

My Gen2 recently failed because of a bad cable. Making it worse, it installed an update overnight & then died while installing the update so it completely bricked. Starlink sent me a Gen3 & everything needed for install at no cost. Gave me a month free on a loaner Gen2 kit a friend gave to me as well while I waited for everything to arrive.

How much data waste is built into starlink? I am on the RV Starlink Std Gen 3. Was testing it last week and used 7.5gb sitting idle with only a few speedtests. Do speed tests use a lot of data?

Ever since I put my Starlink router into bypass mode so that I can connect it to my Wi-Fi mesh my app cannot seem to connect to the Starlink router anymore. What do I need to do? Thank you.
@ellistonmclean93918 күн бұрын
The app only connects to the Starlink router
@chuck555818 күн бұрын
Probably have to do a factory reset and do not put your Starlink into bypass mode when you reset your network. I am running a seperate mesh network for my security cameras on my Gen 2 Starlink and have no issues with either of them. I use the Starlink router separated into 2.4 and 5 GHz for the TV's, computers and phones and the mesh for the cameras and smart devices. Works fine and I can still use the app.
@jcristina18 күн бұрын
Yep.. That is one of the issues of BYPASS MODE.
@jyrgeva18 күн бұрын
You hve to reset your main router physically into factory settings by instructions below, depends of what gen. Starlink kit you have. This will reset your main router into factory setting and you can connect and configure as new one by your Phone Starlink app. Better is, to turn off your mesh router for that time at all and reset and setup it again as new one, later. I hope it will help you. With best regards! Factory Resetting Your Router Manually Gen 1 and 3 Routers Step 1: Locate the reset button. It will be on the back for gen 3 routers or on the bottom for gen 1 routers Step 2: Use a paperclip or small pin to press the reset button and hold it for 10 seconds Step 3: Wait for the router to reboot Step 4: Set up your network again using the Starlink app Step 5: Connect your devices and try loading a page to check the connection Gen 2 Routers Step 1: Unplug and plug the router back in 6 times, waiting 2-5 seconds before you plug the router back in each time Step 3: Wait for the router to reboot Step 4: Set up your network again using the Starlink app Step 5: Connect your devices and try loading a page to check the connection

Hey Joe🌀 Just a thought… You should do a set video in the style of ‘Max Headroom’ , the Digital talking head from the 1980’s For your first 3 minutes of ‘Housekeeping’… Then the real start to the video proper can begin afterwards unhindered. Showing you in normal mode. A fun visual well within your abilities for a man of your calibre. May the Horse be with you.🌀 🐴🐴🐴 Jim🌀 (-: :-)
