so the speaker has a built in battery, and if you buy the extra battery pack and install it, now it has 2 batteries inside (so more playing time). or does it only play with the cable from out of the box, and if bought the battery pack, only then it can play unplugged. which one would be correct? i really appreciate the help.

The speaker can sometimes come WITHOUT a battery. So make sure you're buying one that comes with a battery. It also only has one slot for a battery (not two). I'm not entirely sure if it can work without battery but with power cable, might need to contact Bose or your local dealer.

Yes! Have used it to do this multiple times :) both mic inputs and Bluetooth can be controlled independently.

… As strange as it may seem, what you are seeing there for inputs are actually hybrid inputs that can except a male XLR low impedance microphone connector, but you may notice there is a quarter inch hole in the very center which excepts a two conductor high impedance input from a cheap microphone, a keyboard, A drum machine; etc. but it would be possible to take the output from a device with the headphone jack, and go straight into this input, giving you all the EQ for that channel… The trick is… You have to get a patch cord that will be a male three conductor tip ring sleeve or tip ring ring sleeve in the case of an older Apple device (what you’re after is a connector that looks EXACTLY like the connector on your earbuds… if you have the newer kind that uses the lightning connector, you’re going to need the adapter you have to have to use standard earbuds; I don’t think there’s any such thing as lightning on one end, and quarter inch phone plug on the other, so you’ll need the adapter) on one end and a male quarter inch phone plug on the other end.

I don't have the exact charge times, I'm sure you can find them on the Bose website. But it will automatically stop charging after it reaches 100% and will trickle charge after that.

You need to turn it on to activate the battery first then when you turn it off it will charge. That's mainly for first time use.

Tbh, I feel the reverb effect is good enough? I don't see echo/delay being that effective for majority of people. Of course in certain use cases, but reverb is much widely used compared to delay.

For such a premium product with omnidirection sound, #bose has done a very poor job with the S1 Pro Battery pack. My system is less than two years old and the battery is already unworkable. It does not hold charge. For the price, this is totally unacceptable.
