As a young Christian, I arrogantly Demanded that God present HIMSELF to me! HE CAME!!! I hit the floor on my face, and SCREAMED "Go Away!!! GO AWAY!!! I CAN'T STAND IT!!! I felt like I might EXPLODE.... LITERALLY!!! He slowly withdrew, and I was on the floor weeping! I have NEVER doubted His EXISTENCE since!

Fear of Jesus leads to trusting Jesus? Really? That’s not my experience. How can one be expected to trust that which s/he fears? Jesus has only inspired fear and some degree of obedience...but that’s just me, I guess.

Have you listened to the sermon yet? I know the word "fear" can be confusing, but he explains it really well in the message.

JD Greear is not a Christian
@patrickc34193 жыл бұрын
@@thefallout25 Sure thing. Matthew 7 speaks of knowing believers by their fruits. 2 Timothy records of a time when people will not endure sound doctrine, but have itching ears. -Greear is a proponent of the Social Justice movement, as are many in the Gospel Coalition. -He supports and defends Beth Moore. -He endorses and pushes the “white guilt” nonsense. Point of fact, he states that those who criticize the leftist, racist Kamala Harris on issues is a racist. -Is very defensive of homosexuals. -States he will use the ‘preferred gender pronouns’ for those who label themselves trans.

@@thefallout25 Okay. Then don’t ask me to give “scriptural proof”. Again, JD Greear is not a Christian. As a Reformed Christ follower, I do much sharing of the gospel on my KZbin account, and literally hear what you said more than any other misquoted verse about judging. “Don’t judge don’t judge don’t judge don’t judge don’t judge don’t judge’... Matthew 7, where is comes from, meant this, and literally only this: Jesus explained that we are not to ‘judge’ others as sinners if we ourselves are living in the exact, unrepentant sin. Period.

@@thefallout25 You’re obviously free to ignore or tell me to pound salt; I need to know what church you are a part of (I DO NOT mean literally the name or address of your church) I mean the denomination or what it is affiliated with.

@@patrickc3419 I’d rather not disclose that. But I’ll be honest with you, I’ve being pretty angry at people like you who make false accusations like you just did, regarding non-essentials of the faith. The things you’ve accused him of are scarcely true. All of the things you listed are things easily explained away, and his *fruits* as you brought up over 10 years are more evident and worth so much more than the few cherry-picked, out of context garbage that you’ve brought up. Again, not going to go point by point, but He is very conservative, biblically sound, anti-homosexuality, anti-abortion, anti-racism, etc. you have simply been reading too many “discernment” blogs, who evidently think they’re going to be the only ones in heaven. I apologize for probably sounding angry, it’s just that I’m tired of the insanity of calling people like Greear, Piper, Chandler, Platt, and Keller “woke” as if they haven’t been teaching solidly and conservative theology for decades. It’s not that they’ve moved further to the secular Left, it’s that people have moved further to the secular Right to where they are abandoning biblical principles for American secular nationalism. Sick of this anti-gospel nonsense. I really am

@@thefallout25 I respect your right to not specifically share, I honestly do. I was raised Roman Catholic by a mom who was that by tradition and by a dad who had (and has) no interest. Not an atheist, but no interest. I first heard of the Gospel in my early 20s (am now 40) , and by grace and sovereignty was saved at a calendar date that remains a mystery to me. I am Reformed Baptist. I am not being accusatory, but how can you say those are non essentials???? For Pete’s sakes, Chandler supports BLM. Keller believes in evolution. Platt does that fake crying “please forgive me for being White”... No, I absolutely do not say or believe that you have to like literally the same theologians/pastors I like. People are individuals. What concerns me is this: I see these men, the ones you mentioned (except for maybe Piper) as more dangerous, biblically speaking, than the emergent group like Bell or McLaren or the charismatic or prosperity people like Copeland or Osteen for this reason: Obviously discerning people of all denominations can take one look and tell that those men are charlatans, but with the others, they say just enough of a surfacey biblically sound message to hook those listening. I am, again, not judging your salvation if you like different people than I. And yes, I agree with you- Conservative does not mean saved! I, as a 2 time Trump voter, am the first to acknowledge he isn’t saved!
