Hi! can you provide any tips for marrying law and fact in an analysis? I struggle with that.

Great question. One tip is to try to connect every element with a fact. For example, battery is "an act with intent to cause a harmful or offensive contact . . . (etc.)". You could tie elements to facts by saying "defendant acted when he balled his hands into a fist and moved toward the plaintiff. Intent was present because the facts say that the defendant was angry and wanted to punch the plaintiff. . ." It is helpful to learn the elements of law really well (and understand them). That makes it easier to tie the law to the facts. Please let us know if that helps!
