megumi didnt want to leave becouse he was scared, he wanted to go guard his sister becouse there were only grade 2 sourcerors available so he wanted to do it himself. But he realized the curse atacks anyway no matter who is guarding her so he just has to exorcise it.

Besides the trio's cute friendship, I also enjoyed how creepy the episode was at times, all the amazing action from the exchange event makes you forget what the show is really about sometimes
