I had a feeling that some people might have a hard time understanding Oden's reaction to the news about Roger. Oden wasn't breaking down in tears because he was emotionally Upset about Roger's execution, But Oden was actually breaking down in tears of Joy for Roger for the praise & exploits Roger had created in his Top Speed life adventure before it had finally come to end from his disease and execution

Lol its both. And they understood it was both. He broke down crying because he was sad that Roger, his close friend, died. Which is a natural reaction. But immediately aferwards he started laughing and was happy, because of the reasons you just described.

Many are still pondering whether Oden made the right decision. The problem with making judgements about it is that Oden knows things that the audience does not. It might factor into the decision somehow. The clone-clone fruit and the barrier-barrier fruit at this time are instrumental in creating Wano as we know it, but now their powers are in the hands of others. It might almost seem like evil -> good, but it may very well be the tide of the times, or destiny. Bon Clay and Bartolomeo did some terrible things, but they helped important people at the times they needed them. Let's see what unfolds in the present and future.

When oden refuse roger pirate's help. He doesn't know that the situation is so complicated, he just know terible things happened in wano, in the previous episodes, kinemon and others tell the truth about orochi and kaido's invasion. Before that, Oden doesn't know kaido was there, he maybe only knows orochi did terible things to wano so he is so confident to take action by himself and refuse help from rayleigh. I agree, if oden just accept their help, atleast rayleigh, scooper gaban, and oden can wipe out kaido and orochi without hard fight

Oden has a really bad character arc. Such a strong person would not choose to attack Kaido before Kaido became stronger. Stupid enough to believe a scumbag's words. By the time he danced naked for five years, Kaido's army was already too powerful. And he clearly had friends as strong as the Whitebeard Pirates, but he didn't choose to ask for help. When his country needed him most, he ignored the country's suffering because of his own selfish interests. What a silly character. It feels like Oda is force-selling this character. Every time someone was telling stories or strategies, Luffy always didn't care or even left. But when he heard Oden's story, He just suddenly deeply attracted by this idiot ? It doesn’t fit Luffy’s character design at all.
