fun fact: the supernovas weren't planned by oda and weren't created until he started working on the very chapter he was introduced. his editor said this arc would be a bit lacking in action so he told oda to create some rival characters to spice up the action. oda has gone on to say that the supernovas added a few years to the story but he doesn't regret creating them.

Kidd and Law was always planned I think especially Kidd Law was going to have a smaller role than he currently has now but Oda change that later out

@@sparknazo No, law and kidd weren't planned, like evevry other supernovas, manga spoilers: We can see now that they are defeated, they weren't in the first one piece that oda planned, oda is getting rid of the supernovas. Kidd lost and we don't even know if he is dead, probably not, and for Law, he is alive but has been defeated, he is alive only beacuse he has a lot of fan and Oda can't lose a character loved so much like him, he will definitely be an ally of the strawhats in the final war, kidd no.

I've not got a souce for this, but I've heard many times that this arc wasn't going to have the supernova's in it, and literally right before introducing them Oda assembled the group. Some may have been characters he intended to use later, or bits and pieces of ideas he had, but to basically just pull them out of thin air like he did was crazy.

no, every time luffy's deeds were hidden they still put the proper bounty on his head, in the episode itself it is said the only reason the kid has a bigger bounty is because he is a bigger threat to the lives of innocent citizens , and the characters at the time always wondered how it was possible for luffy's reward to have increased so much, including this crocodile one doffy himself did not believe that crocodile had been defeated by a sailor and associated his defeat with the great increase in luffy's reward, which at the time was something big, what happens is that oda had big plans for crocodile to be one of the biggest pirates of one piece yonkou level, he already said in sbs that he regrets having put him so early in the manga and maybe that's why he's bringing he's back as a "shadow yonkou"

We get inundated by information this time with the introductions of 9 other pirates whose notoriety levels are in the neighborhood of Luffy and Zoro. All from the North, South, and West Blue areas of the world. Not to mention Shakky, a friendly bar owner that was in Garp's crosshairs and managed to remain at large, though no longer pirating (unless you count beating the crap out of deadbeat customers and taking their stuff). It seems like too many new things to keep track of but you might find yourself consuming lore like Jewelry Bonney does food and still calling for an all you can eat buffet :)
