Well done man. This and the splitting of the main bus video finally made factorio click for me when it comes to actually planning things. Like I finally get the point of the main bus of having constant science ( so that your research can run at constant speed over all sciences). I'll probably design all this by myself since it is the part of the fun but at least now all those different things make sense.

I love your videos, they are super helpful. The only real issue I have is that you never zoom out or stand still in a good place where i can pause the video to see the whole setup, like for purple science for example. I have to play a game of "rewind and try to pause at the perfect frame"

Thanks. I found this video very helpful and learned several belting techniques I hadn't considered before. One thing that stands out to me is how you have 7 purple science factories. I see how the math works out, but you've had to overproduce your rails due to the layout of the build. Why wouldn't you just add the extra science assembler for build symmetry? This would still leave a surplus of rail output. You'd have to add one more productivity module assembler to keep from starving your system. But, the system you have now consumes 100% of your productivity modules leaving you no surplus output. So, curious why you didn't go ahead and add the extra science assembler. Makes me think I'm missing something important.

I recently made a very similar blueprint for my No Spoon runs. Mine includes a construction bot assembler in the main build tacked onto the end of the electric engine / robot frame line. I like that wave pattern for purple science, I used a mixed belt instead but that limits upgrade potential. I think I'll alter my design to borrow that wave pattern.

Great video man but I gotta ask, are you ok? You inhale like you are suffocating, relax, your video is awesome. Slow down a bit so you can breathe!

Yep I'm fine, sometimes the mic gets a bit close and picks up way to much noise, and I don't always catch it. I'm in the process of building a new studio so the mic will be fixed and no longer a issue!

well, i prefer to have red, green, blue, mini grey science, some module and bots production and also refinery in one starter bp, this way you can save a lot of time. It uses around 3 (+1 for steel) yellow belts of iron and 2 of copper

NIce and very useful video. JD, when I am trying to import your book I am getting a base64 padding error. Is it possible to get that fixed?
@dontcallmesir89973 жыл бұрын
Why not just use long hand inserters for both the steel and the stone instead of curving the belts for the rail?
@ctrlaltdebug2 жыл бұрын
Or use half belts.

Its either my version is old or my version is new,The chemical science pack doesnt require sulfur it requiress solid fuel in my version atleast.| Edit:I checked the wiki and my version is older so it requires solid fuel not sulfur

True, it was left out as you dont 'need' white science to finish the game. Also the video length was quite long already.

It should, are you selecting to much text/not enough text? Blueprints are tricky, DM me on Twitter/Discord if you have all the text and it still wont import it should work fine

@@JDPlays i also had trouble. it has extra words at bottom of string when importing in game, name of blueprint book etc, just delete them and it imports fine.

Good stuff! One minor nitpick (just because it's a pet peeve of mine): I notice you list the link in the description as youtube.com\jdplays ... you're using a backslash, but a proper URL would use a slash: kzbin.info ... the former leaning to the left, the latter leaning to the right. [You may notice that on this comment, the latter is also a proper link to your channel. I didn't do anything magical to make that happen, I just typed it out, and KZbin turned it into a link. This is why these details can matter.]
