Building somewhat upon the previous comment, I'm 81 now, and I agree with the comment. I recalled the song alright but couldn't have named the year of popularity, it truly was the age of truly great music! My memory is now fading some and I couldn't have told you the year it was released! Like the others below, I miss those times but being a born-again Christian, I'm looking forward to much better times in my future! God Bless y'all! d.o'd.

You know, it's so crazy . . . I'd forgotten all about this song until I ran across it in a Billboard top 100 playlist here on YT, and I've listened to it about ten times in the last 24 hours. Part of the soundtrack of my childhood that I'm glad to have recovered. So beautiful. Both his voice and the lyrics. Just before that, I'd watched Black and White night for about the 100th time, because Roy Orbison, no other reason needed. I remarked to myself how reminiscent JD Souther's sound was to Roy's. It's no wonder: I just looked him up, and Roy Orbison was his idol. I also need to go back and look for him in Black and White Night, because apparently he was both on stage, and one of the producers of the show.
@jimreeves19545 жыл бұрын
