Heat rises to the top so exhaust the air at the top. Make it cross ventilation, 2 fans pulling out at the top on both sides and 2 fans blowing in near the bottom on both sides. Line them up equal from the top to bottom to make it pretty.

That might be the move

Heat Rises , I would put fans at the bottom blowing in and put fans on the top blowing out

What we do out here in the desert, it gets real hot and real cold. We build the system in a camping cooler, seal it well. Drill your penetration’s and seal them. Then bury it in at least a foot of soil and yes more is better. When it’s on a mountain top here I assume negative temps so I use a usb coffee cup warmer and thermostat to help batteries live longer. You can also bring bags of concrete and cast small walls and build pretty cheap a very small space that’s also very protected. How much do you care? How much time vs money do you want to spend.

I’ll take that into consideration

Put a fan at the bottom and another at the top. Pulling cool air from the bottom and pushing the hot air out the case.
@JDubbsadventure

Remember…heat rises. Put exhaust on top and draw in cool from the bottom. Do that then take a temperature check & see if that hits your desired temperature.

4 fans all top mounted, use vents with grills on bottom. run 2 fans on one setting with a splitter, 2 on another setting. leaving u one setting for a fan on ur transmitter , an the last fan on ur reciever, total of 6 fans, that fan controller can handle 12a at 12v, 3amps per control setting, as ur powering it with the 30amp psu ur golden
@JDubbsadventure
@JDubbsadventure Ай бұрын
That would be nice but the controller can only handle 3amp on 12v I could add another controller or a different one but I already have the parts from other projects

Cage mesh the side 4inches on top and mount fans sucking the heat from the equipment and pushing the hot air out the mesh ports. Rodents becomes a problem

I was gonna use mesh to help with mice and bugs

bees building nest has to be small and strong .i like the top pushing and sucking the hot air off the equipment because it keeps a strong flow out and possibly detouring unwanted things. Like dust and unwanted visitors.

I doubt that cabinet is air tight. I would concentrate on 1 intake fan at floor lever, 1 fan blowing on the heatsink fins facing towards 2 exhaust fans at the top close to the transmitter
@JDubbsadventure
@JDubbsadventure Ай бұрын
It’s definitely not air tight. Thanks for the input

An exhaust fan is the most effective for air flow. Consider 4 exhaust fans.

So 4 exhaust fans and just holes on the other side?

I would go with the fans up high because the heat rising they should do a better job of pulling it out

if u have access to enough 7/8s heliax that is foam dielectric an not the air type ,the ends are around 35 online. run it from antenna to just outside ur repeater cabinet , use a short rg214 coax between the antenna an 7/8s, same at repeater . ul need an alpha delta or polyphaser lightning protector just inside the building with 6awg copper wire to the tower ground rod. , antenna if side of tower mounted needs to have a 2ft standoff the tower
