This looks like a great little park even if you don't have kids. There's beautiful landscaping, some vintage classic flat rides and walk-thru areas like Dino-land which are just nice to walk around in. And for the adults, the main train ride looks pretty cool too. Small parks like this are important. Especially for families with small children. And even then, adults can enjoy it too on another level. I love watching your walk-thru videos and your narration which provides nice background information and history of the place. Thanks for the upload, Jay!

Love how detailed and informative this video was. It was exactly what I was looking for. I'm interested in taking my toddler here this spring/summer and wanted to know what to expect since we are coming from far.

I worked at Edaville Railroad and had a blast. Operating many rides way before Thomas & Dinosaur Land. Right at the time of the Polar express.

When I was visiting my parents for Christmas in Mattapoisett, Mass. around 1983 we took my 5 year old son there. My 40 year old son still remembers it fondly! I am so glad to see it is still there and even has been renovated. Hopefully COVID shutdowns wont hurt it.

Just found this. I had family in the Wareham/ Carver area and seldom missed a trip during either Xmas or Summer to Edaville in the late 40's and early 50's. It made a steam fan out of me. I was just wondering what happened to all the old 3 foot narrow gouge Railroad equipment that was there before Ellis was killed?
@jayducharme3 жыл бұрын
Some of the equipment went to a museum in Maine. The long history of the park is an interesting and twisted tale. Wikipedia has a nice article about it. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edaville_Railroad

I understand that this park targets the 3-8 demographic, but as a 21 soon to be 22 year old I wish they had a few more adult-ish rides. I’m not saying something like Superman at SFNE. But where a 6 foot tall person can fit on without being cramped.
@jayducharme5 жыл бұрын
Obviously, you're not their target audience (and neither am I). But a few more adult-capable rides wouldn't hurt. That's why I hope they finish that Kersplash ride, and continue building the planned water park.

The band organ on the carousel is not an original Wurlitzer as I've heard from other people and it doesn't sound like one either. It's a custom-built experimental band organ, it used to be in Skyrock Farm otherwise known as the Bill Nunn collection. He owns the 81 key Marenghi that was recorded playing Bohemian Rhapsody arranged by Alexey Rom. The organ when it was in the Nunn collction: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIqygYunrZ2UoZY
