This one touched me a lot. In many ways this resonated. My sister went to Los Altos High School. I lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains at one time and was born and lived in Oregon until I moved to California. My friends and I were a lot like Laura Anne. I spent 2 weeks in Colorado and loved it there. My sister died at age 47 and this crime sounded like it was solved when Laura Anne would have been 47. I do psychic counseling and write mysteries and I had a reading from Annette Martin at a fair years ago. This was so sad that the parents didn't live long enough to see justice although like her friend said 2 years is not justice. Do we even know if Scott ever killed anyone else? Since he seemed to get away with it for so long, he might have. What a wonderful friend Laura Anne had in Mary. Laura Anne and Mary are both women I would have liked to have known. I am so glad they solved this case but two years for a precious life is not justice!!!

I lived in San Jose for 28+ yrs. Los Altos is still pretty nice community. Love Santa Cruz hills & went lots of times. Sorry to hear about your sister, that is so young. I had to quit working at 48 & it was hard after all my education & get to where I was at. This case truly saddened me. I just cussed out loud when they said that unbelievable sentence. Oh what a waste of doing a trial & investigation although the psychic was awesome. I was also a teen 1975-1980 & boy God watched out for me because I did things that now a days would NEVER do!
