The country has always been a piece of crap because Haiti has always been governed by incompetent men and ruthless criminals like Baby Doc and Papa Doc. I really hate it when I hear people like yourself saying things like the country was good... You think it was good because you don't know what good is. I was born in Haiti and I remember the days when Baby Doc used to throw money at the people while driving in expensive European cars doing 100 mph. Was that the good old days for you? The only economic prosperity on Haiti are the plantations, without proper management they fall into neglect. Jean Claude Duvalier was incapable of inspiring the people to get to work again, still a legacy after the abolition of slavery: no working ethics !
