Hi Jean, when I first started watching your videos I kept thinking I knew your name. I didn’t realize it was from the spirit of cross stitch. I remember going to one in Hershey PA with friends. Another one in Saratoga Springs NY with my mom, at that one the power went out for about an hour and the classes were being held outside on the lawn. 😂 I enjoyed those so much!

Hi Jean - good to hear you're at the other end! I too love murder mystery and listen to audible most of my stitching time! I'm wondering if you have heard of Louise Penny? She is a Canadian writer whose stories are set around a small village in Quebec set near the Canadian/US border. The main character is a man Inspector Gamache - but all of the women characters are strong and involved - and the whole thing paints such a picture in your head... I have never read a Penny fan who doesn't long to live in Three Pines! They are very well written and such a good read!! I enjoyed your visit to Inspired Needle - Where I live in Northern Canada it is about 2,000 miles to the nearest stitch shop - June here I come!. Thanks for the video and hope you feel better with each passing day!

Enjoyed your interview with Cathy @Inspired Needle, sure miss her & the shop in Lemont. I atteded the Rockhome Garden's Cross Stitch Show years ago with a shop, Cross Stitch Corner I worked at in Mackinaw, Illinois.

I used to go the Rockome Garden cross stitch show too. Never knew there was a shop in Mackinaw. I’m from Pontiac. No needlework shops around.

I really enjoy your videos! I have 2 questions. One, why do you moistened your threads before stitching? Explain! Two, I don’t understand “ losing the stitch” when stitching on linen. I don’t start in any particular place on linen, not sure what I am looking for. Maybe I’ve just been lucky with my starts. Can you go over this please. Thanks.
