Jean Harlow was a brassy lady and I loved her. She was a fellow Pisces like me.

Jean Harlow and Clark Gable had some chemistry together. Two mid-westerners (he from Ohio and she from Missouri) who can look things straet in the eye.

They had a affair too when Harlow was married so yep they did have chemistry and I mean alot too.

@@santinowilliams693 No credible source confirms or even claims they were ever lovers. By all accounts, they were just good pals. Her nickname on the set was "Baby" but Gable called her "Sis." He loved working with her because, "You could talk to her just like you could a man."

Must have been hard or at least emotional for Clarke Gable to do Mogambo 20 years later with Ava Gardner and Grace Kelly remembering how his beloved co-star Harlow died tragically at such an early age. RIP Jean Harlow

Skillfully acted by both: she too funny for words ('I don't sleep much nights anyways') & he, too handsome & brawny ('put it in your mouth where it will do the most good!') Just hilarious!

where can i find this film? it's been one of my favorites since i was a kid. the reason why it's not reissued all the time must be the magic between gable and harlow would but modern movie romantic couples to shame. sixty years later it's obvious why clark gable was called the king of hollywood...and that cute little jean harlow was was a star from the first film she made. now, i gotta go and try and track 'red dust down' on the internet...

Thank you for posting this movie. It is one of the best of the pre-code movies. Harlow and Gable's chemistry steams up the screen. Mary Astor is rather sultry in her own right. A very provocative movie with witty dialogue. I've been looking for a DVD copy to replace my VHS tape.

Been looking for this on DVD for years!! In my top 3 for Favorite Clark Gabel movies! The chemistry is crazy and just oozes sex doing it only like they could in 1932 (or was it '31) anyway this flick is just so fucking GREAT and Gabel and Harlow so sexy sexy. My favorite scene of the movie is when Mary Astor shoots Gabel when she catches him with Harlow and Clark looks at her and goes "okay if it makes you feel any better..." What a man!!!!!!

"Red Dust", template for "Mogambo" about 20 years later, but I prefer "Red Dust", because Clark Gable is still young and still awfully good-looking ( still good-looking 20 years later, but as a middle-aged man then...). For me, as a man, I admire Clark for his looks, his voice, his manner, his way with women....must have been nice to be admired by men and loved by women, the way he was...
