Danke, Danke für dies Lied, das ich 1965 in Canada kennengelernt und nie wieder hörte, als ich nach Deutschland zurückkehrte. Für mich und meinen damaligen Freund wurde dieses Lied zu einem geflügelten Wort. Er fuhr damals zur See und hatte immer Angst, ich könnte zu irgendeiner Zeit einen Dear-John- Letter schreiben.
