I met Rick the Jet at MTL, he is such a gentleman even on ennemy territory! What a talented superstar he was in the ring!

I had my first fight on a Tosca Petdridas undercard at Dallas Brooks Hall in Melbourne Australia.

I have been looking for this fight for a long time. Thank you for uploading. Have always been a Theriault fan even though this wasn't his best performance. Not sure if Petridas should have been given the win. Maybe a draw. Especially with penalty points. I think it even would have been justified if Jay T. Will had disqualified Petridas. Thanks again for the post!

Tru dat. Far, far too lenient with the low kicks. As Jean Yves once told me, "I was always a stickler for the rules". Cheating was never his jam.

Oh man Jean Frenette and his kata! He toured all over the world back then. I'd just dabbled a bit in Point F. /Semicontact and began to compete in my first FC amateur event and Frenette opened with his kata. Believe it or not I even bought one of his shirts, haha.

I was in attendance that night: the best fight I remember seeing live. Petridis was a lot younger than the champ who I don't believe he should have lost his title. But the Wilson draw and the first Hoost fight were not correct scorecards either...

Closer than that. Petridis win by 1 or Theriault win by 1, or draw. Theriault didnt dominate but cant see Petridis did enough to take the bout and championship away from Theriault. I just think Theriault hit Petridis more, by slim margin. Good kicks too by Jean Yves.

Lets see the fight when Manson Gibson destroyed Tasis Petridis in Melbourne, Australia.

Ya I wanna find that fight
@ClassicVideos86282 жыл бұрын
@@johnburns2940 I was fortunate and saw that fight, Manson was at his prime, and Tasis was tough, but the Master Blaster was too much. Manson almost finished him in the first round, spinning heal kick to the head, it hurt Tasis and would have stopped anyone else, but kudos to Tasis. There is a guy who has a bunch of never before seen Gibson fights and others, he won't put them on KZbin. I saw one fight where Gibson in less than 10seconds of the 1st rounds finished his opponent with a vicious spinning back-fist (out cold). That may have been the quickest KO in kickboxing history. Manson was incredible and fun to watch. I'll see if I can get that guy to upload those fights.

do you also have the Tasis Petridis vs manson gibson fight
@ClassicVideos86284 жыл бұрын
Manson Gibson annihilated Petridis they won't release that fight because of how bad Tasis got beat. Richard Norton was one of the commentators and said Mason Gibson was one of the best kick-boxers he's ever seen.

Jean-Yves, I am sorry, but he won because he was really better today and if you would have seen it, you would agree. Maybe next time. But there will be NO next time because you are 66 today and everything is a long time gone. Have you ever worked out with weights? I used 5 Lbs weights on each wrist and the same on my ankles. I was having the hardest punch that the machine ever measured. I remember each time I took the weights off and hit the bag or anyone it was like the bullet. My trainer did not approve but I told him to f. off. Why do you think that Tyson had such punching power? He was working out with weights all the time. Speed, strength, stamina, and a killer instinct. I have noticed that you had that guy off balance many times but you let him recuperate and never took advantage of that weakness.

Honestly, as a esthetically pleasing as this is, it's some of the most pointless and useless garbage in martial arts.
