I've been up and down, I've been all around I was mystified, almost terrified But late at night I still hear you call my name I've been on my own, I've been all alone I was hypnotized, I felt paralyzed But late at night I still want you just the same I've been a gambler, but I'm nobody's fool And I sure know something, sure know something You showed me things they never taught me in school And I sure know something, sure know something No one can make me feel the way that you do And I sure know something, aha I was seventeen, you were just a dream I was mesmerized, I felt scared inside You broke my heart and I still can feel the pain I've been counted out, I've had fear and doubt I've been starry eyed, never satisfied Cause late at night I still need you just the same Just the same I've been a gambler, but I'm nobody's fool And I sure know something, sure know something You showed me things they never taught me in school And I sure know something, sure know something No one can make me feel the way that you do And I sure know something, aha I've been counted out, I've had fear and doubt I've been starry eyed, never satisfied Cause late at night I still need you just the same Just the same, yeah I've been a gambler, but I'm nobody's fool And I sure know something, sure know something You showed me things they never taught me in school And I sure know something, sure know something No one can make me feel the way that you do And I sure know something, sure know something No one can tell me till I hear it from you And I sure know something, sure know something I've been a gambler, but I'm nobody's fool Sure know something, sure know something You showed me things they never taught me in school Sure know something, sure know something No one can make me feel the way that you do

this is an amazing song... I've always liked Kiss..... Definitely had a couple of their songs on my playlist over the years...... But about a month ago my non verbal autistic daughter started randomly having a bunch of Kiss songs on her Internet browser searches.... I thought it might be a one off thing and didn't think much of it... until she started singing a song with me on a drive to the store recently. I was so surprised she knew the words!! I asked her more questions and was stunned how much she was aware of the band i.e. Song lyrics, Member names, and even the personas...(starchild, space ace, etc). It has been fun and touching, seeing her excitement and joy singing their songs. It has also rekindled my overall interest in the band and this song in particular was one of the gems I didn't really remember. I have been playing the songs she seems to know and this one is now a personal fave! Is very cool to find out you have something that you mutually enjoy with a special needs child that she discovered undependently. It has connected us even more. She also has indicated that she wants to be Paul Stanley aka "starchild" for Halloween. How cool is that? She never fails to amaze and surprise but this was the most 'wow" moment yet......😊😁

Love this. The thing that bothers me is that this was the end of my young teens. I will always be a Kiss fan. It just really reminds me nothing last forever. Not trying to have a bummer attitude. Thanks for a soundtrack to some of my best times,...

Since 1977 I wanted one of Pauls guitars, I now have one of the cracked mirror Ibanez.

That is one nice guitar, you are a lucky man. I once could have bought a Music Man Eddie Van Halen guitar, but it was so expensive that I would not have money left for an amp - so I bought a Gibson Nighthawk Standart with an H&K Attax and played Kiss and Van Halen on it until my fingers bled. (damn I really should have went for the Music Man EVH, it was such a beauty...) Maybe one day I'll catch up too, like you did.

You have one? Right on! Do you cut your fingers on it? Paul said his got cut.

Its 2022. Paul and Gene are legends. I am just a kid who saw KISS at Varsity Stadium in Toronto. In 1976.

The faces in the bridge, and Paul walking towards the camera for the last chorus, just brings the memories of childhood in San Diego flooding back. Dynasty tour was me and my brother’s first concert. Still the best show I’ve ever seen.🇺🇸
