Live TV performances by Jeanette are very very RARE. There’s only one major performances readily available. It was on The Voice of Firestone. This posting is a revelation! Thanks so much! She’s almost 50 here, and her voice was still superb here. She floats a high B at the end of Vilja. Interesting to see how wide she opened her mouth when she sang! Her movies are all lip-synced (to her own singing of course), and all the “classical” singers were told not to open their mouths too wide, according to Risë Stevens.

Jeanette's older voice is superb, and the way she dances, especially when she puts her hands behind her, not a step out of place.

Do you have any idea what Jeanette sang on the other episode of "Toast of the Town" she guested on from December 30, 1951? I can't find any listing of the songs performed anywhere.

Do we need John Amis with such wit and wisdom as She needed a lot of air . Took a breath after every phrase. After that he failed to recognise Jeanette and then quipped that he had heard her singing much better. The banality of My Music and when he used to whistle..
