For me Eurovision is about culture and authenticity and this was such a personal piece of Jeangu, I was moved. @@Waterdiver3900 Really? This song is literally about embracing the history of the Netherlands and growing from those roots. "Yu no man broko mi" comes from a Sranan idiom, "Though I am half a cent (worthless), you cannot break me", Sranan being an English and Dutch Creole language from Suriname -- a South American former colony of the Netherlands where Dutch is spoken fluently today. The message was very clear: by knowing your history, you grow from it towards a united future. You assume it was "anti-white" because the performers are Black, but how can it be when he performed it for Eurovision, on behalf of the Netherlands? You're just looking for "anti-white" sentiments everywhere because you want to. Talk about self-victimisation.

@@Sjaan_Banaan Because they made a song based on a colonial past very relevant to their host country and made it a universal song about the resilience of the human spirit, where everyone is invited to grow stronger together.
