I can't compare the 2 dancers. They are not clones. I understand this to be the struggle of the individual throughout the competition. Differences and imperfection is for me what makes this absolutely compelling. I am so grateful people are still dedicating their lives to giving us these performances. They are living works of art.

I never got to see this dance until now. during the show fox had a technical difficulty and went to commercial DURING the dance and it never reshowed. its a shame, there's got to be so many others who never saw it either. amazing

Amazing choreography. To me, it talks of the changes we go through in life, with moments of reminiscing & nostalgia (when they run back to the layers shed). Hard to let go of the past but fighting to e,brace the future free and unfettered. And finally breathing and the battle within comes to a rest. To be one with thyself.

everyone keeps saying how kayla isn't as good or as strong of a dancer as jeanine but I found kayla to be amazing, she may not have performed as much as she could've sometimes but I found (and the judges stated this many many times) that she was one of the best technical dancers on the show. jeanine is amazing but kayla is just as amazing

first of all, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! i have been looking for this forever but its never in good quality! this is amazing! and secondly, i have to say jeanine is better, in my opinion. just like some people have said, she's more effortless, and it doesnt look like she has to work like kayla to be as good/better. her rhythm is AMAZING (always on time, never before or after), and my eyes were drawn to her even though she was more to the back of the stage than kayla. ps her firebird is amazing!

Even though Jeanine is late with ripping her layers off, I still think she just hits the dance moves with more definition than Kyla. Look at 1:03,1:17, 1:49, and 1:54 It's just the way she moves her body is why she won. I love Kyla though

Kayla and Jeanine are two of my favorite dancers, but WHY can Jeanine not do a normal grand jete leap?? this has always bothered me! her front leg is always much lower than her back leg.

I'm a little confused by this dance... It seems like some of the parts are a little off, but I can't tell if it was a stylistic choice or one of the dancers (idk which) is not timed right. Seems like in certain parts they are competing in this dance, and not dancing together (i.e. the leg leap; Kayla's front leg lifts higher) I think Kayla's timing with the clothing is more dead on, n Jeanine seemed to struggle with that. I think Jeanine is a bit stronger n powerful, while kayla is more elegant

Kayla e Jeanine estão ótimas, mas exitem nuances que por ter bases clássica e contemporânea, a |Jeaniene consegue superar a Kayla,pois tem movimentos onde só são trabalhados no contemporâneos e isso só a Jeanine tem, a Kayla nesses momentos torna-se muito lânguida. Precisava contenção em alguns movimentos e ela entregava logo...esqueci a palavra...tenho problema de memória. Tem um nome específico. Fui bailarina moderna e fazia aula específica do que estou mencionando.

I LOVE jeanine she is my fav dancer always!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeanine can do all types of dancing, but kayla can only do slow dancing. Thats why i like jeanine better, dont get me wrong kayla is a great dancer.

My last statement is more just a general statement, and not about this dance. I think kayla is more soft and graceful, while Jeanine is feisty and powerful. I like them both.. It wasn't a diss. I was just confused about the dance..

why does Jeanine always barely get her front leg off the ground in her leaps and her back leg goes up like crazy. She's great but that bugs me, doesn't look as good than if she got both legs up just cause the back leg is crazy high.

Kayla forever. Janine is obviously talented, but c'mon people: at this level, it's comparing apples to oranges - as in, whatever style or dancer you simply prefer, because no one is better than the other. In that case, my preference is Kayla - but they danced this together beautifully.
