48 years ago 1976, I was a fan of a then popular band The Rubettes. Posters on the walls, listening to their songs every day. One evening my brother called me from my bedroom, come and see me quickly. On TV a young musician sat among various instruments that we did not know. He turned on a chair from one instrument to another. My brother thought that was special, unprecedented. His name was Jean Michel Jarre. I went to sleep and slept with 1 melody in my head still on Oxygen 4. And got up with it again. Perhaps you long to hear that on the radio or TV. JMJ indeed reached the Top. The next day, all of the Rubettes' posters were removed from the walls. I haven't listened to their music anymore, to the real surprise even of my parents: what does it have now. ..Yes, 48 years later it is still Jean Michel Jarre. I never even thought when people said: it's over for him that his music no longer appeals to me. On the contrary. "JMJ THE BEST"

Back in 1986 I saw the Huston concert on TV in England. . I was almost 18 years old. I was hooked. I went to HMV music shop and bought every cassette that was available. Seen him live in concert twice. Still have the cassettes and a few of his videos on VHS. I’m now 55 and still listen to him regularly. He is a legend 👌.

I was 9, maybe 10yrs old, when I was introduced to JMJ. I was born & raised in Athens, Greece. CDs were still new tech back then, so I remember myself walking around downtown, when I decided to enter for the 1st time on my own, a music store, where you could listen to the newest albums, using headphones attached to cd-players (wow 😅). The album that caught my eye, was his. I played the 1st track, didn't finish it, I moved to the next one. Oxygene pt.2 and I was hypnotized. My young self, couldn't understand what was this magic that was giving me all these chills down my spine... Years later, I met my boyfriend who THANK God, he was listening the same kind of music as me and in 2010, was when we attended JMJ's concert here in Greece! It was a dream coming true for both of us and just yesterday, we also watched this one via KZbin. If only we could also be there! What an epic concert, what a visual spectacle, how amazing all these people must have felt watching him and Brian May playing, 2 legends together! I love that he's still active, his soul remains young, I still remember the feelings I had when I listened to JMJ for the very 1st time. It's one of those vivid memories, your brain connects with a smell, a taste, or a sound! So lucky we live in the same era!

Back then JMJ’s music was seen as futuristic and ethereal…something that was a flash in the pan. I never believed that and have loved his music from the minute I heard it as a kid in the late 70’s/early ‘80’s and I love it now. Still very futuristic, still ethereal, but still so damned amazing! ❤ I bought a synthesizer in the mid ‘80’s (Yamaha DX7) thinking I could do something the same but I just wasn’t that talented! 😂😂😂 Stuck to a standard keyboard once the old synth died.

I have loved Jarre for as long as I can remember. 40 plus years. I just wish he would once again put on Paris 1990 style concert. Huge band and fanfare, his 180 degree synthesizers and Keytars, the dancing robots and Calypso players etc… It would be amazing to see that in 4K now.

Ha, that is great. Listening to JM Jarre since my childhood, I visited Bratislava and the UFO Bridge a few years ago. My first thought was that this scenery would be great for a JM Jarre concert. Now it became real and I was not there - very sad... JM Jarre is much more than a musician, he is still an artist and an expert how to visually express his music beyond just playing on a keyboard. Cheers from Germany to all JM Jarre fans and the master himself. I´m listening to Schiller sometimes, they also perform these great visual events with their music.

Imagine this: Which Artist in the world today can unite people from different nations, from different ages and different beliefs, etc? Jean-Michel Jarre!! His melodies resonate deep within us, transcending barriers and touching our very core. In a world where we have some many differences t, his music effortlessly bridges our differences, reminding us of our shared humanity and the universal desire for goodwill. Let's cherish this moment, let it linger in our hearts, for it is these instances that illuminate the world with hope and harmony. "Rendez Vous 2" stands as a pinnacle, a symphony that unites the earthly with the divine, a testament to the profound connection between man and the divine. Let's embrace this harmony and spread its message of unity and peace far and wide.

@@helengunby9628 On Saturday, I was curious how the preparations for the concert look like. I drove through New Bridge, saw the people there, I left my car behind Incheba. So I joined the people, waited for some time, security guys pushed us little bit further due to the drone testing. Them when the sun set down, Jarre came and started the set. Then May came, played together with Jarre, drones were in the air, at cca 21:45 they set music to the more quiet modem and at cca 22.00 I decided to go home as it seemed the rehearsal was over))) Quite a number of folks hanging around the fence, police controlled the situtation, just the buses passed around.
