Why MF805 has no flexi coupler?

I don't think there would be room for a flexi coupler.

I am looking to buy a 705 with a 150hp yanmar. Roughly, how many hours running would the boat do before the need to take out the shaft if the cutlass bearing is not warn. In your opinion if the boat has been out the water without the shaft being removed, will it need realignment when its put back in.?
