Very touching, Deb just about breaking up when she hears Jas's sentence. Also the roles are totally reversed in this scene, Jas is the one saying it'll be okay this time. Well done Emmerdale, awesome storyline. Thanks for posting.

This show could teach the US Soaps about brilliant storywriting. They cancelled The US Soap Opera Guiding Light after 72 Years and in 2010, they will cancel it's other show As The World Turns after 54 Years.

This is why UK Soaps are still on the Air, and US Soaps aren't. The US Characters get away with everything and the UK Characters actually do time. What's going on with Debbie now? I live in Canada and we don't get Emmerdale.

So jas get 4 years where in 2 years time she can get let out. she has not served any time really so there should be another 2 years before we see jas again. and debbie is sentenced to 6 months which she can be let out in 3 months. and she was convicted on jan 28th i believe so. Jan 28-feb 28 is one month. and feb 28-march 28. that is two months so really they are letting debbie out of jail one month earlier then the half mark. so really they cut the jebbie short a month.

She got 4, 2 was for good behaviour. Anyway in a just world she would have got an award for ending that evil scumbag who was protecting an evil gang and who tried to rape and then kill her. Anything more than a slap on the wrists is an injustice.

Umm... as sad as this was... you only have to serve about 2yrs max... girl you gotta suck it up and make it! Good behavior I'll say you do a year and 8 months. They need to fast forward 2 yrs so I can see them together again!
