Hey y'all, Doc here, from you know where...lol....when Jebus was holding up those Cabbage Patch Kids, and they had the signature tattoo on their bare little behinds, I did a little Google and found out that the signature says "Xavier Roberts", who is the FATHER of the Cabbage Patch dynasty...lol...and according to the Google machine, if the little buggers have his signature on their bums, they are authentic, so some of them might be worth more than you thought....just some helpful ( I hope) info from a nosey longtime Canadian fan. Lots of old stuff, I love it. Times were good in the80’s. If those collectibles were priced in the 80’s they won’t be worth that much today. However since there is much you will still do well even if you start at a dollar. What fun.

The paper doll things are just that...called paper dolls. They are pretty cool and I forgot all about them!! I had them when I was little. Even then they were kind of considered old school and I was a 70's little kid (born in 1969). You need to save some of those books for your little man! Never too early to start saving treasures for him and his future!

I’m 77and I remember those old green scales in the stores when I was young. Fruit, meat potatoes onions didn’t come prepackaged. About everything was weighed. I saw paper dolls on the pages of dolls and cloths. The one with the tag on the cloths are paper dolls fold the tags onto the doll. I loved my paper dolls I had a lot that I kept in a shoe box. The first fancy liquor decanter is what we would when empty put water colored with food coloring. We used them for decoration in 60s.keep the cabbage patch dolls. The cabbage patch. Doll hospital was just outside of Helen G.A. and I believe it burned so they don’t make them now. Cabbage patch and American Doll are poplar.

The pin that looked gold, on the longer stick is called a Stick Pin. Men used them as tie tacks, or ladies had them to secure a scarf. Now they are just decorative, but at one time, they were useful and quite common.

That piece of jewelry that was in the little white velvet bag is called a stick pin and they usually wore them on their lapel of their suit jackets and from the looks of it it was for something that they can accomplish through their job whatever job they had.

The original Cabbage Patch dolls were handmade and were originally created by Xavier Roberts. They were very expensive and hard to obtain. He signed the butt of all the dolls. In the 80s he sold the design to Coleco and they started making them for the general masses, with the stamped Xavier Roberts signature on their butts! The were so incredibly popular in the 80's and people would camp out at Toys R Us when shipments were due. There were near riots at times between those who were waiting for dolls, especially when there weren't enough to go around!🎉

The original dolls were Little People and were gorgeous. A colleague collected dolls and when she retired we went in on one for $300+. His was in the 80s. We had someone go the factory in Georgia to get one and ship to Arizona. Our friend was thrilled.

I cast iron small skillets are used for single eggs. Some restaurants use them for single serve deserts too. The little pots are used for heating butter or sauces on the bbq.

I learned a good trick when my daughters were young. When the dolls hair is all wonky you can make it look good again by spritzing the hair with a solution of water with some hair conditioner in it then use a fine comb or soft bristle brush to brush while applying medium heat with a blow dryer. Might come in handy for reselling.

I had paper dolls in the 60s. Mom would help me punch or cut the clothes out when I was little because if you goofed and cut off a tab they wouldn't stay on the doll. Some big birthday cards were paper doo cards that the aunties would send.😊

Violin needs a new bridge and strings. Needs someone qualified to do the bridge as they need shaping in a specific way and if you over tighten the strings you will either cave the top of the violin in or compress the bridge too much xx
