Sportage vs Land Cruisers

Clips from our weekend wheeling trip. On this adventure the little Kia is trying to keep up with the triple locked big boys. With a 3” lift, 29”tires, and a little skinny pedal we were all pleasantly surprised on how well it did.

Hell yea man. Keep the vids coming. I just bought a 2000 sportage because of your videos. Has a blown motor but I have a replacement on the way now . Going to be a full on wheeler. Your videos are motivation haha.

I have a 99 with warn lock hubs I use to be my daily driver but since covid it's my motor home I took out rear and pass seats

My 02 Sportage has surprised many people that saw it as a cute little mommy car. I run 32/11.50 tires with the shocks relocated inboard toyota style and Jeep Wrangler hard top rear springs. She's got electrical issues I'm working on but should be back on the trails soon.

Awesome seeing the little Kia keeping up with “the big boys” those sliders you made up came in handy! And the winch! Your winch is a 4500lb isn’t it? How happy are you with your winch size? Wish it was bigger?

It’s a 5000, I definitely wish it was bigger but I bring a snatch block just in case.

2” strut spacer up front nets 3” lift, factory Jeep tj rear springs install directly in the rear and net 3” lift, rear shocks were replaced with longer units. Front bumper is homemade to house the 5k winch, tires are 235/75r15 federal Couragia m/t at 18psi

Where did you get that bumper and skid plate on the front? Also, are you using the stock vacuum actuated automatic locking hubs on the front or have you swapped them out for some manual ones? Cant tell.

I built the bumper and skid plate. Bumper is made with a winch plate and old truck bumper. The skid plate is bolted to the winch plate in the front and factory skid mount in the back. It is aluminum and mainly just to stop sticks from getting into the radiator. Hubs are warn lockouts
