Why are salary sacrifice car deals gross value so much higher than personal lease deals, my salary sacrifice scheme comes out just about the same as i can get a ersonal lease for

That’s sometime the issue. It’s I think because they build in a lot for insurance. Better if you to do a straight business lease and sacrifice that.

When doing a salary sacrifice, is insurance added into the price? Or is that just a free benefit typically?

If it’s a true complete scheme, yes but it’s definitely not free!

@@SStickells I would imagine that if your employer is offering it, it will include insurance. My experience though is that they can be quite expensive at times if the insurance is included since it has to be a constant amount for the whole 3 or 4 years. I would get some details from your employer.

If you salary sacrifice in a big company it is a much higher price as the leasing companies and employers add all sorts of insurances , tax , protection insurance (if you leave the company they are stuck with a car so they add this on ) maintenance , tyres , and because the the Tesla is classed as a high value ev , they won’t even allow you to get the car if you have any points on your license. I got the model 3 highland for £810 salary sacrifice. As a 40% taxpayer I’m paying £589 for the car.

Yep. I’ve seen some silly quotes which aren’t much cheaper than a personal lease.
