If we spend money on Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, it will show them they can do whatever they want to us and we will continue to pay them money. Whilst that might be fun, it gives CG what they want, it puts players in the dark and forces them to cave to curiousity on a character that on paper sounds good, by letting us see Luke in action against the heavy teams out there we can as a community decide to either go for him or ignore the character in favour of others, I'd rather know if Luke is worthwhile before I potentially waste time getting those characters upgraded for him.

Coming from someone, who wouldn't have gotten Chewie the first time around without your video, and someone who constantly relies on your insights, I think that it would serve the community better if you didn't make an unlock video. I'd rather see you and the other KZbinrs make an organized call for a spending boycott/strike. If you make an unlock video, it signals to the community and CG that everything remains status quo ... we keep giving CG money and its OK for them to continue acting in bad faith. If you were to call for a spending boycott/strike and and you emulate that behavior in your videos, the community will most likely follow. In my eyes, this would essentially be a battle for the future and soul of the game. CG's complete lack of acknowledgement of anything that is going on right now is too flagrant. The lack of communication or a road ahead is unacceptable. The lack of content has gone too far. Capital Games needs to acknowledge their abuse of the community, but they're not going to unless they are made to. You should do a guide the second time Luke comes round you whaling as soon as a new character comes out right after what's happened and after you said you were done spending only tells CG that it's fine to keep pushing you and other content creators around and that none of you are serious. If you spend for this character, what was the point? All those content creators who stood up for you with videos will be for nothing because you can’t stick to your word. They defended you because CG “attacked” you but now it’s ok because it’s Jedi Luke?? It makes it look like you have no integrity & CG knows you’ll spend the $$ no matter what like everyone else. So, I get your point about the fun in the game and the great help you've always been to the community! And man, the Force knows I'm forever grateful, especially since you and my guild are basically the only reasons why I'm still playing. And, that said... You shouldn't whale out at all on Jedi Knight Luke. No one should, cause that's exactly what VG is expecting. Everytime there's outrage, they put out a character, the show to EA how they aren't losing money and therefore, they're good. Whaling on this is just conceding defeat. I love how upbeat you are, I truly do. But let's be honest, for the company all that matters is sale figures. And that "in a year he'll be added to the guide" just sound like corporate speech to: I'll sell you all the shit I can with empty promises. Will we be here in a year? Who knows? Who cares? Probs not.

Luckily I’ve been playing for a while too so I’m not to far behind. But the only problem with trying to get into the big leagues is that your just spread so thin. I’d probably have a gear XII character if I didn’t have to use my energy to grind for shards, which have absolutely abysmal drop rates. I only just got JKR (I’ve been saving up so he’s got good mods, all three zetas, and gear XI), but despite all that progress I’m essentially gonna have to do it all over again with Darth Revan, only this time I don’t have zeta mods and gear saved up. Plus I gotta get Phoenix and Rebels up and running so I can get my Palpatine to 7 stars, unlock Thrawn, and finally get CLS. Then I gotta zeta a bunch of people so they’ll have better synergy, as well as grinding for some niche teams that can be really useful. Like Nightsisters, and Jawas. And that’s not even getting into any of the raids you have to grind for (which I haven’t unlocked any) as well as GAS, and Galactic Legends.

How about you do the event on a shared account, that has the characters ready as an ultimate middle finger to CG, obviously take all the necessary measures to protect the identity of said account, so don't do a live stream, just a video guide and take the time to edit o blur anything that could give away the account identity.
