I don't know how but I beat rancor in my 4 attempts, I was super aggressive with dual wield and some how parried everything. Whenever they used the grabs jumped back and threw the light sabers a few times.

I tried a few different ways at tackling it and because it was two separate monsters they always staggered their attacks and sometimes one would do a stomp while the other swiped/charged and vice versa and i just wasn't getting very consistent attempts in. I'm just on pause for now until they fix the bounty hunter quest bugs.

I think the best combo for Rayvis is blaster and staff saber. Staff is great for deflecting all of Rayvis' blaster back at him and for attacking him very fast when he's close. And the blaster stance is very good because you can just shoot him when he retreats to use the rockets.

The thing that effed me up in 2nd phase Ravis was the fact that he follows up his unblockable spinning swing with six more spinning attacks. His combos just never end which makes it hard to know when it’s safe to attack. The Double saber force parry was great for canceling his long combos.

PS. Always great content. PS2. holding the normal attack button down to get a power attack drains SO much of their stamina bar, especially using cross guard stance. The combat in this game is all about finding weaknesses to enemies and perfecting that strat to beat them. (from someone who played, suffered through, but ultimately really enjoyed Jedi Grand Master)

I feel like grandmaster requires so much ability usage and thinking, to the point that you can’t just go Willy nilly swinging your lightsaber lol. But I found the stun shot to be very helpful when it comes to taking out the smasher’s. For the hammer guy at the start of the video, on gm with purity and warrior perks on, I levitated them and pushed them to the lower level. Then I waited for them to forget me and I did a surprise jump attack. Was not in the mood to risk a missed dodge

To beat him on grandmaster you need to hold onto your force all force attacks (hold triangle on single blade) stun lock rayvis allowing you to follow that up with quick attacks

The hammer guys are actually really quite easy once you figure them out. I just stay in close on them, as range is bad for their red attack. Parry all normal attacks and sway dodge the small red attack and dodge through him for the big frontal attack. OR dodge through for both of them. Personally I use duel wield for them as the ability to parry out of an attack is best for mobs like this.
