I think most are having Cconfusion in that solving of hexagon problem by loop method !! Actually its not the loop method that is wrong here but it was sir only who did a bit of mistake !! SHIFTING of vectors is allowed but COPYING of vectors is not allowed and that's what where the mistake lies he just COPIED the vectors a b and x to their parallel ends instead of SHIFTING In other words when he moved the vectors to // ends then he should also have removed from their initial places and after that if u apply loop law then only the answer will come
