Remove the 75% Criteria: The 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Mains and Advanced should be removed. This criterion puts unnecessary pressure on students, making them worry about balancing their preparation for both JEE and board exams. While passing the 12th board exams is necessary, removing the 75% criterion would alleviate some of the pressure on students. Allow Three Attempts for JEE Advanced: Similar to how students get three attempts for JEE Mains, they should also be allowed three attempts for JEE Advanced. Currently, students get only one chance to appear for JEE Advanced after the 12th grade. However, if a student prepares for JEE Advanced after the 12th grade, they only have one opportunity to attempt it. In contrast, they can attempt JEE Mains three times. Therefore, students who qualify for JEE Mains should have three opportunities to take the JEE Advanced exam. In comparison, students preparing for medical exams after the 12th grade get multiple attempts. While we may not match the number of attempts given for medical exams, at least students should be allowed to attempt JEE Advanced as many times as they can attempt JEE Mains. This opportunity should be available to all students. Specific Case: One of my friends was a dropper after the 12th grade. He qualified for the JEE Mains exam but fell ill and couldn't take the JEE Advanced exam. If he had another chance, he could have performed well in JEE Advanced. It's important to avoid situations where students are capable but do not get the opportunity to prove themselves due to such constraints. Dear Sir/madam I request the Ministry of Education to make improvements in these key tasks: 1. Remove the 75% board criteria for admission to IITs, NITs and IIITs. It should be at most 65% for general/obc. Many students scores very well in JEE main and JEE advanced as well but due to not getting 75% in 12th board They are not eligible to get admission in IITs, NITs and IIIT. If someone scores very well in JEE then they are able to study in IITs NITs and contribute to the society and country. So Board marks should not be a problem in proving a student's ability 2. To give JEE advanced, allow 2nd droppers like JEE main. Many students who belong to rural areas are not aware of exams like JEE. And they starts preperation after 12th(in drop year). 3. Please conduct NEET exam on CBT mode to avoid cheating and paper leak cases. 4. Please increase transparency in JEE main. Show marks details in JEE main score card i.e subject wise score, positive score, negative score, overall score etc. like JEE advanced. 5. Decrease no. of shifts for JEE main and make almost same difficulty level in every shift so that The cut off marks for every Shift at a particular percentile should be almost same. Because of very easy and very tougher shifts we get very huge variation in cutt of marks. 6. In every shift of JEE main no. of candidates should be equally distributed. 7. Many prestigious institutes like IISc Bangalore allows only 1st dropper students to get admission. They should be allow 2nd droppers also. I hope you will understand the problems of the students and the shortcomings of the system and improve them as soon as possible. Thank you very much for giving us this golden opportunity to tell you the problems of system.
